The Best and Worst of Star Wars

If its one thing George Lucas does best its whoring out the Star Wars franchise by creating lots of merchandising. Which is exactly why we have countless Star Wars video games. Today, we are going to pick the best and the worst of the Star Wars video games.

For me the best is Knights of of the Old Republic. Its one of the best RPG games the Xbox has ever put out (aside from Mass Effect). Great Story that is original and fun. Doesn't make Millennium Falcon or R2D2 references. The choices you could make with your character was endless. If you never played then get you butt on EBAY right now and get one.

The Worst is another exclusive for the Xbox, Star Wars Kinect. This game has piss poor Kinect detections which makes controlling the game a hassle. This is evident when you are doing pod racing because for whatever reason the Kinect can't read leaning which makes turning right or left so much fun:thumbsdown:. Dueling with other force users should have been a fun addition to this game but unfortunately controls are broken for that as well. Aside from bad controls the game has a weak story hosted by generic characters. The only thing that is good about this game is the most outrageous thing about it....

This game was a total cash grab and also a good example why you shouldn't get the Kinect.

So what is your favorite and most hated Star Wars game?

What do you think about JJ Abrahams directing the new Star Wars and also being at the helm of Star Trek simultaneously.

Did they ever do a lightsabre style WII game?

Obviously KOTOR is the best one ever. Ill submit one that is off the radar and I'll probably get laughed at for. Lego Star Wars. It had the entire saga was at times quite challenging and very addicting plus same room co-op. Myself and a girl I was dating at the time played that for hours.

Worst is probably force unleashed. Maybe just me but I was so incredibly disappointed.

I also remember the podracer game being of note though can't remember if it was good or bad.

Not to surprised really. The last two Star Trek films had a Star Wars vibe to it. Its not like he could do any worse then George Lucas and the movies that never happened wink wink.

However, I still prefer old Trek over the new stuff. Call me old fashion but...

Never played Lego Star Wars. Maybe I'll give it a whirl. I don't think I was disappointed in Force Unleashed but I never had the desire to finish it either. Maybe one day when I am in the mood.

Most fun I've ever had in a SW game goes to Battlefront II followed by Battlefront I. Couldn't be more pleased to see DICE making the next game in the series.

Oh boy, Star Wars, you wouldn't find a bigger nut for the universe in this board.

KOTOR is without a doubt the best game in the SW franchise, it shouldn't even be a discussion. As for the worst, i have no idea. I keep my distance from all those silly and blatant money grabs. The new Battlefront seems promising so far. Any of you guy's still playing SWTOR?

Never tried it. But I did spoil it for myself by watching the cutscenes on youtube. They made Revan sound and look lame.

I have no idea who thought that making Revan a mid-point FP boss was a good idea. They did a better job in ruining the Exile character (KOTOR II) in the Revan novel however.

Come to think about it, the force unleashed is a catastrophy in it's own. Gameplay was fun but it's more about story in the SW games imo. Especially when they make a game dating inbetween two trilogies and making Vader look like a wuss.

The one thing that made both Revan and the Exile great was that they were faceless, voiceless, genderless characters. They were are creation and we molded them as we saw fit. Was Revan a female Dark Jedi? Was the Exile a Male Jedi Warrior? They were whoever you wanted them to be. Then SWTOR decided to **** it all up by giving them a face, voice, gender, and worst of all: a history. It doesn't matter what your choices were in KOTOR because in the end Revan is a male that will aid the light side and marry Bastilla. It felt like Bioware took one big dump on everybody who played KOTOR 1 and 2 just by doing this. Hopefully if they ever make a KOTOR 3 they'll retcon SWTOR's storyline.
