Will Fable Legends be Epic or just another disappointment?

Fable: The Lost Chapters was one of my all time favorite games. It had a real fairy tale vibe going for it and I loved every second of it. But after Fable 1 it seems the series got worse and worse. Fable 2 wasn't bad but the lack of boss battles seemed to have hold it back a little. Lucian was so ridiculously easy to beat it wasn't even funny. Speaking of ridiculously easy Fable games let's talk about Fable 3. I paid full price for this game and within two days (less then two days) I had this game beat. There was no challenge at all with this game. Your so overpowered with magic its impossible for you to lose. Not only that but the story was a let down. Fable: The Journey was nothing more then a horse simulation. A fine testament as to why the Kinect sucks balls. I don't even know what the hell Fable: Hero's was supposed to be. My point is at this point my expectations with the Fable franchise is at an all time low. Which is why I want to discuss Fable: Legends which is coming out on Xbox One.

I'm not impressed. I get the feeling this is going to be the worst one let. But I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Probably a disappointment. The first two were okay, but each title has been worse then the previous since them.

I like MMA less because of this forum

Eh, it's a dungeon crawler that has nothing to do with any of the other Fable games. I'd be excited or at the very least interested if it was an actual Fable game.

To see what it would be like on next gen consoles. I would be interested to see what they improve/fix/expand/etc in the game with new hardware, might return to its roots like in Fable 1, among other things.

I don't want another Fable 3, but a Fable 4 that takes full advantage of next gen hardware sounds interesting and has potential.

I see another painfully boring shallow rpg... with prettier graphics. I would say any RPG has as much potential as a fable sequel.

That's how I've seen almost every next gen game so far, boring rehashed gameplay with prettier graphics. The only thing a person can do is hope for developers to actually use the hardware in new ways, that's where the interest comes in.

The same happened with the jump from ps2/xbox to ps3/360 as well, no real step ups for a while. I think your hope is misplaced with fable... unless there are some sweeping changes to the formula, maybe losing Peter Molyneux will help with that.

A dungeon crawler??? Really? Is it really that hard for game developers to make a proper RPG out of this franchise. Battling mystical creatures, dialogue options, character customizations, weapons and armor upgrades, BOSS BATTLES that are challenging as well as epic, and overall a good story.
