I read that the career mode is supposed to be a make you own character "Ultimate Fighter" based story with guest coaches and mini-games to improve skills, IE grappling, punching, kicking wresltling.

They should have every top twenty fighter from every division (20 fighters per division) or at least every top ten fighter. Plus I'd like to see all the legends and pioneers like Shamrock, Gracie, Severn, and Abbott.

i wonder if itll be like certain baseball games

instead of barry you got a guy that looks and performes like bonds....but has some funni alias

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.

if its not made by EA Sports or THQ its gonna be either weak or have poor controls. EA has the best graphics, THQ has the best laid out controls. I think this game isn't going to be too hot on account of there being so many dimensions to a real fight and the difficulty in translating that into the game. i'd like to see it work out, but im not holding my breath.

judging from the video i'd say to expect the controls to be similar to the WWE/ RAW videogames. not a bad system, but it can take a while to learn and can be difficult to remember the movesets. still, i like where this is going. i hope it gets pulled off.

I would get an Xbox 360 or a Ps3 just for this game.

Yeah, the WWE games have a pretty good control system, and they let you integrate striking and submission quite well.

Still, that would only be a starting point. If I remember right, in those games you do a submission against an opponent who is prone (or supine). They either do a certain amount of damage, or they can make the other person tap out, if they don't hit a button often enough, or their momentum is too low.

But that means there is no interplay on the ground. With an MMA game you would need to have move sets to pass guard, posture up, reverse, spin out, give up your back, try to stand up, and so on, and submissions and strikes that could be done from various positions. So it would have to be plenty more complicated than the WWE games.

You need to play more video games if you think EA has the best graphics. AKI developed TapOut on the dreamcast and that was a pretty good MMA game (for its time).

THQ is developing this game. I think that they are going to nail this game down. It may not be perfect but theres a lot of time and development put into it. I imagine a mix of analog and button mashing on the ground with a stand-up system much like Fight Night. A perfect power strike should knock a dude out but it should be difficult to pull off.

I would be satisfied with a similar gameplay to tapout 2 to be honest. As long as they add a in depth career mode and online play.

THQ did the PRIDE FC video game, and that is far superior than any UFC game to date as far as grappeling and ground defense. I hope the game's controls are as great as the graphics.
