if you are worried, just have a digital camera handy.

it will refute anyone missreporting results or disconnecting to avoid the loss.

Talking Suggestion

Can i just make a suggestion. In order to avoid all of this issue with guy being concerned with the rating of the char v the true skill level of there player, i think there is a very easy solution.

In PS3 they let you Create-a-Fighter. This is different than career mode because it give you a specific allotment of points, and when you use them all up, the guys usually end up around the same rating depending on where you put points, what styles you chse to use . . . . but everybody seems to be at around 86-89.

Is this a perfect solution? No. But it does even the playing field for everybody. I think you can still use things you unlocked for your career (as far as shorts and sponsors and stuff), but the stats dont change (unless you go in and edit him).

Why not just have everyone in the league create-a-wrestler, nobody above a 90 because i dont think it is possible without going through career mode. With guys of equal skill but in different aspects from one another, should be fair fights.

we are letting people use their created fighters but there are a few facts i need to correct in your post for others;

1. Created fighters can be 90+. I've fought someone with a 98-ranked Kickboxer. Whooped me with a quick clinch, KO'd me on the second or third strike.

2. Created fighters can also be much lower, i've fought more than one ranked at 50 (some people obviously didnt understand the points system used on the creation module)

3. A person, if they are so inclined, could make a fighter ranked higher than BJ/GSP/Silva at 94 so the playing field is actually quite even. What i'd suggest to everyone concerned about getting shafted on picking their fighter is to a) be in a class that they are comfortable using more than one fighter in and b) create a fighter for that class in an effort to have a fighter that is perfect for you and potentially ranked higher than the class' champ.

thats what makes it semi-realistic in the training aspect though man. I work hard for my high 90s!

Thumbs up Training

I think maybe i didnt explain myself correctly.

The Create-a-fighter option i was talking about requires no training sessions for stats and all. You create your guy, everybody who starts a create-a-fighter (NOTE: NOT CAREER MODE) get THE SAME EXACT AMOUNT OF POINTS. This means that, like the other guy had mentioned, you dont have guy who have 9 hours per day to put into their training and career to get up to 95 overall. Everybody would be on an even playing field with stats they can allocate leading to everyone have a similar rating but different fighting styles and different allocations of skill points.

I do totally understand the thought process of training hard to get lots of skill points to get your guy better, but do we really want to be having matches of a 97 rated vs a 96 rated guy everyy match, or even worse, a 95 rated guy v an 82 rated guy. Just figured everybody would want to be on a level playing field so your player skill shines for the match and not just the fact that you worked you standing strikes to 99 so you can 1 punch flash KO guys on a regular basis.

Also, you can use a career guy in online exhibition at anytime, not just when his career is done, which could explain why you saw guys with a 71 rating and all. When my guy starts his career, i can use him onine, but he was only rated a 21.

I am perfectly happy either way, just a little suggestion to keep balance, but i am ready to kick some booty either way.

Well it's up to the person playing. If they want to create their fighter in career mode, and build his stats there, then that's on him. Same if a person creates a fighter without career mode. It's up to the person.

Gotcha

No Prob, lets do it.

Just was pointing out that if everybody uses a guy with the create-a-fighter feat, you have everyone with similar ratings because of the points cap, leaving the fight up to player skill.

If you allow people to use career guys, you end up with the guys that have all day or night to work on their guy to get him up to 98 with 99 standing strikes a KOing guys on the 2nd or 3rd strike -- just like you pointed out.

To me, it just seems like more fun to know i am fighting somebody based on the skills and styles i chose and my skill with my guy. Allowiong career mode guys means no matter how good i am with my guy, if i am rated a 88, i will fight a guy ranked 98 with 99 striking. Its a forgone conclusion that I will get KO'd because he had the time to put into his career to max his guy out.

I would rather a good, even, fair fight, isnt that what this is about?

Anyway, i will not bring it up again and ready to go with it, just wanted to bring my points up for consideration.
