Finally a patch for this game!

I have been waiting for this for a while. I have not played online for a couple of weeks just because of the quitters. So the patch is finally coming. Here is what is included:

While aware that the upcoming patch for UFC 2009 Undisputed would address the issue with quitting in online matches it was unknown what else would be included. THQ has now released the full details of what will be in the patch in the game’s forum. As to when it will go live it appears it has not yet been sent for certification meaning it is still at least another couple weeks away from arriving.

* We recognize premature match quitting as the biggest online issue and have taken steps to fix it. The Patch will have integrated code that detects who pulls the cable and will assign a Loss as well as a Did Not Finish to that player. The DNF is only counted for the player who executes the disconnection. The DNF rate will be displayed on the fighter selection screen of the Online Ranked Match. When disconnected the Winning Streak is also reset to 0.

* We’ve adjusted Ranked Matches to match up players with better connections, which will improve lag issues we’ve seen to date.

* We’ve adjusted the difficulty of performing submissions against AI opponents to improve the balance of subs vs. striking when playing against the AI.

* We’ve adjusted the Flash KO rate so that they are less frequent.

* We’ve increased maximum number of points awarded in online play from 99,999 to 999,999 and we’ve increased the Max Level from 100 to 200.

* We’ve lowered the Winning Streak Bonus Max from 5 to 3.

* We’ve removed the decimal places on the Leaderboard Winning Percentage so we only show whole percentages.

* We’ve addressed the CAF cheat so the skill levels in CAF cannot be cheated and increased. Also any CAF with unfair point values will no longer be able to be used Online.

* For PS3 users we’ve also fixed a bug that causes a freeze during auto-save; whichever controller was used to Press Start on the Title Screen will be identified as the main controller.

Outside of the online quitting problem I’m most pleased to see that they’ve worked on actually being able to submit the CPU which is impossible or at least seems to be. Nothing else stands out as major but the game didn’t have any other huge flaws to speak of.

What is considered an unfair CAF? I understand the glitched ones, but what about people who have 110 career caf can they not use them? I never had a problem with the computer submission issue.

I almost wish they had reset all the records if possible as well. It just sucks knowing how many wins I should have and how many I do have. I know they cant fix that for everyone so why not clear them?

People will still quit, they get a DNF%, at least they get a loss. sucks for people who waste their time and don't get the win. This could flip around now. I can see people with shitty records quitting against players with good records now just to be ass holes. I guess thats why the DNF is going to be there.

Either way im happy.

better than nothin for sure, but i too would have liked to see a record reset. glad there will be a disc stat though.

as for the CAFs, White -- i imagine it's just the glitched ones. Legit ones wouldn't be deemed 'unfair'. Personally, i'd have liked to see them keep the glitched CAFs just because they are so damn easy to sub with their low attributes.

I never even heard of the freeze during the save screen on the ps3 game, mine only freezes sometimes right when the match starts and the 'tale of the tape' never appears. They are trying to fix everything! Not just online quitting. Taking out flash ko's and making subs easier against the computer? Sounds like a new game.

cool, all good changes! I wouldn't even mind a 100 cap for CAFs online haha, make everything a lot more fun. I just finished a new 95 overall WW to use online, results in a lot less DNFs and a lot more people will accept fights with me online. Then if they pick a guy who is 100 overall I just switch to mine.

I forgot to add. I never thought flash KO's were that big of a deal. I mean they dont happen all the time, they do happen a lot. I was just thinking I mean, they mostly happen to me when im going to throw a punch or kick anyways. The Transition ones I hate. If you are mounted and try to transition. That was my only peeve with the Flash KO.

How can they think any caf you get from career is unfair? I could only get mine up to the high 90's because of never getting much out of the sparring. I just would think if you keep sparring over and over on an easy level to build your guy up, and reset the game when you get a bad session, it's a pain in the ass but not unfair.

yeah man, I thought flash ko's were fine the way they were for sure. I don't mind getting ko'd from the mount, because I shouldn't let somebody get on me, I just wish there was maybe ONE more way to get out of it that was universal for all styles.

I just pray in the next game there is some sort of a move selection system

Sounds to me like they removed the stats glitch. Does that mean I will still have to take all my CAFs through career mode? I thought about re-making my Sakuraba because he's too good on his feet and too bad with his throws, but I will rethink that if I have to go through career again...

And for the submissions... GREAT! I was playing Big Nog against Gonzaga (expert level) and I ended up getting subbed with a kimura from full guard after I took him down in the first 10 seconds of the match. I tried again, this time he took me down and made me tap with a kneebar and I was not exhausted. I hope this doesn't happen again.

I believe you will not be able to use glitched cafs online at all. So yeah you will have to go through career mode for all of the ones you have. That is how it sounds.
