My xbox keeps failing the ip test. Anyone had problems with this. It's not something easy.
1) i've turned the modem off and rycycled it.
2) my connections are on automatic
3) My phone line is good
4) my modem works on my comp fine

I have 3 things to try:

-Did you check the cord?
Despite the low probability, a failed cable was the cause of my disconnection on Live last year. So use another cable and ee if it works.


-Try doing a direct link between your modem and the Xbox (no router). You'll have to punch in the IP settings though.

-Try another router port.

i'm Already using a direct link still doesn't help. I have tried diffrent cords.

Check and see if the router shows any DHCP leases to your Xbox.

Make sure your router is set to DHCP.
