Problem is THQ are plain lazy. They have a lot of the same songs on the UFC and WWE games.

If Gamestop is right they have some cool modes on the game if done right, remember when having a fight league was tough to keep track of?

Quote:
* UFC FIGHTERS AND PERSONALITIES – Navigate an unparalleled roster of more than 100 prolific UFC fighters, each fully rendered to convey a photorealistic appearance. Prominent UFC personalities, including the commentary team of Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg, veteran voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer, Octagon Girls, referees, trainers and more return to showcase an authentic and memorable UFC videogame experience.
* ENHANCED COMBAT – Step into the Octagon with improved combat. A new Sway System with full upper body and head movement allows for the dodging of attacks, while on the ground, a new Posture System delivers strong, fight-ending strikes from every position. Manage Octagon control with new strikes, submissions, transitions and cage positions, as well as experience added realism with the introduction of Southpaw stance.
* FIGHTER CUSTOMIZATION – Enjoy customizable freedom with created fighters by combining move sets from numerous MMA disciplines. Choose from an array of moves from all available disciplines, including newly added Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling, to become a true mixed martial artist.
* EXPANSIVE ONLINE PLAY – Encourage camaraderie by forming fight camps and leagues to participate in ranking and champion tracking systems. Join forces, train like real-life UFC fighters and go online to compete against other camps in the virtual UFC world.
* CAREER MODE – An intuitive “Game Is Watching You” system tracks every action and uses this information to dictate in-game commentary, opponent intelligence and overall career progression. On the quest to reach the UFC Hall of Fame, enhance the Career Mode experience through online co-op sparring sessions with respective fight camps and form unique personalities for created fighters to increase their cred, popularity and sponsorships based on interactions during weigh-ins and interviews.
* TITLE AND TITLE DEFENSE MODES – Fight through one of UFC’s five official weight classes to earn and defend a championship belt in Title Mode. In Title Defense Mode, a fighter’s condition remains persistent, with milestone challenges built in along the way.
* TOURNAMENT MODE – Explore up to 16-player individual and team tournaments within one system. Utilize UFC fighters or created fighters and select from arcade-style play with repeated fighter appearances or experience simulation play with fighter representation limited to one appearance.

That is a huge improvement in both gameplay and extras. I am sure that there is more they are keeping quiet about until the game is released.

The fact is, WHATEVER UFC does EA Games are just going to make it that much better...

And what REALLY pisses me off with UFC is that they don't fix there glitches ever....

They like ignore them and not try to update to make the game play as even as possible...

I never really saw the deference until i bought Fight Night Round 4, where i saw them update it daily when some stupid glitch came up, the next day they were on it..

UFC had a disconnect your system before you lose to make the whole Ranked fight not count....

When i first bought the game, i would knock someone out and the second they hear IT IS ALLL OVER! They would unplug there connection and the whole fight would be invalid....

This was also true for Fight Night until they changed it the next day after seeing the abuse...

And i can go on about a lot of other things they changed during online play to make it more even like, Hiding your ranks until u fight because people would quit before it starts if u had a good record .

And people would do groin shots and head buts when you get them dazed, so they made it so u cant do those when your dazed because it was being abused....

Either way my point its, EA games has millions and millions of dollars going into guys playing/watching the fights and checking there website for glitch complaints, and ive complained to UFC about a million times about there stupid bull invalid rounds from simply disconnecting...

And even if they fix that minor mistake, there is just going to be something else that they will not deal with...

I might gamefly this game to check it out, but im saving my money for EA games version

Are you talking about MMA 2010, with the lackluster roster?

I won't be purchasing UFC 2010, but I'm not purchasing MMA 2010 for their roster.

Well if you are worried about investing in something you will dislike, then I definitely reccomend renting it before you buy it.

I'd love different stances with different movements for it too, like Fight Night.

The people who've played that game know what I'm talking about. The 'Speed' style boxer moves a bit faster than Basic or Power, has a different stance to go along with it, and so on.

Haha, would be sick in future games if they had different striking speeds too like Fight Night (Round 3 to be exact). Like, how Fight Night Round 3 had their ''Balanced, Fast, Hard Straights, Sinister cross'', just in MMA format.

That's just me though, sounds like 2010 will be another great game anyways.

''You probably thought this was a bright idea, who hit the light switch? Hype shift, this is where it looks like the fight's fixed, tight fist, beat you with the hand that I write with, punchlines that remind Rodney King of the night sticks...''

How could you even enjoy '09? It was a complete flop, IMO. I was looking forward to multiplayer, which lagged terribly bad, even after the update. The career is the most repetitious aspect of the game. The only person I can remember fighting in my career as a LHW was Rashad Evans. You have a choice between Evans, Rampage, or Shogun, once you become the LHW champion.

I still own '09, but I hated it. I'm hoping it'll be more of a "collector's item" in the future. If not, it's just a waste of $60.

09 multiplayer has always been sick for me.

My record is like 620-100 or something like that.

Lags maybe 1/20 times, but usually they just quit.

I don't stress over how good a game is I guess, especially when the gameplay is so perfectly balanced. I know I will end up buying both MMA games regardless.
