I watched a lot of videos and streams of people playing Secret World. Not for me. I don't think it looks bad really, but it just doesnt appeal to me.

GW2 has been pretty fun thus far, but the leveling can be a bit annoying. Mainly some of the inbetween quests that people give you so you can level in between the main story quests. Sometimes they are a fun break but some are kind of annoying.

Might check it out if (not saying it does) it goes F2P in the future. Most of the MMO's nowadays seem to take that route after being subscription based for a while.

I'm just not a fan of anything in it really. But if it goes f2p quickly it will be because it cannot sustain that type of business. Most games that are sub based intend to keep it that way unless they fall flat on their face like swtor did.

Pay to play is effectively over with GW2. Free to play is the future.

I think F2P is the future as well. As long as it doesn't become P2W when it comes down to endgame, i'm all for it. I have no problem on the games giving out better armour before the level cap though.

Part of me hates the MMO's with the payment system. You can pay with a credit card (which aren't much for use in Estonia) and debit cards (the ones we don't have in here) so it's easy to see why i'm so pro-f2p. Not that i'm cheap, i literally can't pay for some things that i want.

F2P may be the future for some games. But as for WoW which is still the mmo kingpin, it is a long way off and I still expect other games will come out over the years with a similar approach trying to knock it off as usual.

Just got back into wow. Apparently blizz found out i was trying to sell my acct (last time i played was in 09) so when i went to upgrade to pandora, my account was banned. So i sent in a support ticket saying i got hacked. Got pretty much everything back.. I MISS THE OLD TALENT SYSTEM. Got my pally to 85 in less than 24 hours of play time. Working on my dk now (hes 82). Plan on getting them both 85 before tuesday then working on professions and such as gear will be easy upgraded. Might decide to roll a monk. Who else plays WoW? Might consider transferring my chars around if i can find a nice guild with raid times i can do.

When I played TSW it was apparent how they were trying to change what an mmorpg could be and the effort they put into it and most importantly it was interesting. It supposedly loses a lot of its originality in the end game but that is probably the hardest trap for an MMO to escape.

They have trial accounts now for TSW.

For those that don't know the Closed Beta for Marvel Heroes is coming up october first and will be free to play at launch. https://marvelheroes.com/
I've yet to see a huge grind in GW2 at all, apart from the occasional heart quest that's bugged so you have to grind for 10-15minutes. So not sure what you mean by that. I've already been level 80 for ages, and have got max stat armour/weapons for my current build choice and I got them all just from crafting them with materials I'd got from just playing the game. The only things you have to grind for are armour skins from dungeons. They are not better than the armour you can craft yourself apart from different asthetics.

There's a massive grind for the Legendary weapons, probably months of work but they're hardly needed, and it's a choice if you go for it.

I like the trading post. Gold/Ecto/Item selling was a huge problem in GW1, with gold farmers. This gives it a legit way to buy gold if you want it. There is also *nothing* available to buy for money that you can't buy with gold, and nothing on the trading post gives you an advantage over other players.

Marvel Heroes - Thanks for that man, I'd never even heard of it. Sounds pretty sweet. Signed up!

Hit, I agree about the heart quests. Some are extremely fun while others are complete BS. A few are bugged, where events that are supposed to spawn enemies etc to count towards the heart don't actually spawn, so it becomes quite irritating and completely breaks immersion into the game.

Guild Halls will be coming soon, as will hopefully GvG and another PvP type and some new end game content.

GW1 had constant updates added into it, and 3 expansions (2 stand alone titles) within 2 years of the games release.

GW2 isn't finished yet, no MMO ever really is.

I don't know how i feel about playing with the Marvel own characters and the inability of creating a character. Superheros are unique and would just feel weird to see 20 Spidermans all in the same place. Not to mention the armor could be limited because of that. I heard it's supposed to be similar to Diablo 3. Also, i love the same thing i don't like. There are way too many awesome Marvel heroes, i wouldn't know who to choose.

Started chasing PVP gear in DC last night. SO much easier to get than the PVE gear.
