It`s the kind of game that`s still playable in 10 years because it`s not about technology or graphics, it`s about the story.

Best storyline I`ve played through since the first three Silent Hill games.
I've thought about starting the series as well.

Dragon Age Origins on PC (you must get the PC version for the best version, not just graphics but gameplay), is probably my single favorite RPG of all time. No kidding.

Why is the PC version better you might ask? Because of pause and play. You push space bar to pause the game and switch between your characters (there's a overhead view for this to see better if you want) and make them use abilities. For example, battle starts you pause the game - send Alistair (he is my favorite tank) to the big ogre, select Morrigan and have her use fire on the oil on the ground to burn the smaller group, then have say Wynne cast buffs on your group. Then, you unpause the game and all these actions automatically start happening, once these actions are completed, you can pause the game again and assign more attacks/move your individual party members around, etc. If a fight isn't that hard, you can simply control the main character (or any character in the party) and run around hacking/slashing and using your abilities until you need to pause for whatever reason, be it using your mage to group heal or something else.

It's such a fun game combat/strategy wise, while having a good 30-40 hour long story with tons of customization/content, romance options, each race (dwarf, elf, human... I think that's it) start off in completely different areas with varying tweaks to dialogue and each race has a unique quest situated later on in the game.

Man, maybe I should play that again. If this video doesn't make you want it, I don't know what would. It explains the combat on PC, like I just did, but more details and you can see it in action.

Such a phenomenal game. The way they handled dialogue and character development was just perfect. I ended up putting around 80-90 hours into it with the DLC I got. I got mine for the 360 sadly so I didn't get to use pause and play as well as on the PC. I ended up just controlling the MC and Morrigan and letting the other two do whatever they want.

How'd you feel about the 2nd one? I got it just recently but honestly don't like it too much. The combat/story/characters just aren't anywhere near as good as in the first one.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

The second one is definitely not as good as the first one, and I'm not going to spoil anything but let's just say Mass Effect 3 wasn't the first ending Bioware screwed fans over with.

I enjoyed the combat on the hardest difficulty (on PC) because you can still use pause and play, in fact pause and play is necessary on the hardest difficulty, but normal is way too easy and "casual" for lack of a better word. A person shouldn't have to go max hard mode to get fun out of combat.

The story isn't nearly as good but it's not horrible, I mean it kept my interest for the most part, it just fails miserably in comparison to Origins. The characters are also not nearly as good, in fact I don't even remember any of their names.

Also, they use the same exact dungeon layout 50 times during your questing, and I'm not kidding. there's like 5-10 zones to quest in, and your side quests will have you returning there every single time. Dungeon after Dungeon, cave after cave, will have the same exact layout, same exact locations, and it will annoy the crap out of you. It's one of the major complaints of the game from the general public, it's horribly designed.

I really can't fathom how they went from Origins, probably my favorite RPG of all time, to a middle of the road game that I wouldn't have even played had it not been the sequel to Origins.

Any one getting this? Comes out tommorrow on steam - Natural Selection 2.

Looks pretty sick and it's only 19 quid. Really tempted to buy it.

Okami HD releases on PSN later today (or maybe already is, haven't checked), so I know what will hold me over now until Wii U.

For those who haven't played it, Okami is a universally acclaimed action adventure game that does Zelda as good as Zelda. Never met anyone in my life who didn't love the game.

Oh man, Okami in full HD is fantastic news for a guy wanting a game to play.
