I remember being young and playing on all the Namco and Capcom arcades.

Remember those days, when arcade games used to be the best? I remember having my C64 and developers would say 'XXXX game is arcade perfect'. So I'd buy it and it would be shit and nothing like the arcade version.

I wonder why they stopped making quality arcade games?

You must have been playing non-stop. Not sure how close I am to finishing. I'm at the Bank of the Prophet hunting down a ghost.

Uh oh...here we go down memory lane again.

1st Generation
Galaga
Pac Man
Ms. Pac Man
Donkey Kong Jr.
Gauntlet
Dig Dug
Dragon's Lair
Tron

2nd Generation
Superstars
Bad Dudes
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
X-Men
The Simpsons
Bubble Bobble
Final Fight
Double Dragon
Golden Axe
Neo Geo - Samuraii Showdown, Art Of Fighting
Aliens
Mortal Kombat
SF II

3rd Generation
3rd Strike
Tekken 3, 4
Capcom vs Marvel

I still play from time to time. I've always wanted to collect those old clunkers and put it in a game room along with my poker table.

Up up down down left right left right! Wuddup!

Marcus Aurelius: Tell me again, Maximus, why are we here?
Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.

Man, what a list. I must've been hanging out at the Aladdin's castle in 2nd generation times because I lived off of X-men, the Simpsons and TMNT.

Well, probably took about 12 hours to complete. It's not very long. Heres my rating of the game.

Graphics = 10 - Ground breaking, bench setting
Sound = 8 - Does the job really well
Gameplay = 7 Above Average
Value = 8 Worth buying for the gorgeous graphics and storyline alone
Overall = 8.5 Bench setting game with flaws in playability

Pro's
  • Unreal graphics in an amazing city
  • Best storyline in game since final fantasy 7
  • Upgrades that make you feel like Anderson Silver
  • Elizabeth makes for an interesting companion
  • Did I mention the Graphics?

Con's
  • It's short, very short
  • The 'intact' city is way better than the burning city, the game spends too long with the burning city
  • Combat and enemies are 'meh'

I would have loved for the game to let you lose in the 'intact' city more. Maybe meet more characters and more side quests.

1st Gen

Pac-Man
Asteroids
Space Invaders
Pole Position
Donkey Kong
Joust
Millipede
Star Wars
Paperboy
Yie-Ar Kung Fu
Shinobi
Rampage

2nd Gen

Double Dragon (all time favorite and only time I've ever seen queues to get on a machine)
1942
Pac Land
Outrun
Hang on
Street Fighter
Streets of Rage
Mortal Combat
Golden Axe
Final Fight
Salamander
R-Type
Ghosts n Goblins
Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Operation Wolf
After Burner
WWF - WrestleFest
WWF - Superstars

3rd Gen

Tekken's - all of them
Ridge Racer
Time Crisis
House of the Dead

Yeah I think the second generation was the golden era. Problem with the new stuff is theres no point in paying for them because console/pc stuff is just as good if not better.

The new stuff is gimmicky.

Man I hope to live to see a star trek holodeck. Im going back to 1995 for some quality parties!

***Shellshock*** ***Pizza Time*** Those were the days huh.

The X-men coin op was a cool machine. How many quarters did it take for you to beat it...haha!

Oh yah Time Crisis! I got pretty damn good at the first one and was able to beat it with four quarters I think. I would die at least once by fluke with those damn lasers shooting out in the end. Great game!

After awhile you're sitting there sweating profusely...lolz! Off to play some Star Craft!

PS: You guys needs to watch King Of Kong. It's about the world's greatest gamer Billy Mitchell scoring over a million in Donkey Kong and recording the first perfect score in Pac Man.
