Played some Enslaved. Good Game so far. Was I the only person that looked at Trip and said "that's Kat from DMC."

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I was the other way around since I played Enslaved first. I think the same company made both, right? Either way, both are amazing. Two of my favorite games of this generation.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

What annoys me is that these people who drooled at the mouth about how Eliz/Ellie interacted with the player and were "more" than just a random companion, don't understand that Enslaved did that whole concept just as well if not better, but got almost no media hype because it wasn't made from Naughty Dog or the guys who make Bioshock.

I had people telling me how bad/weird it would be to escort someone the whole game, and when I explained that no you don't "escort" her, she helps you in combat and can help do this and that, and she isn't completely helpless, they were just like "meh". But the moment the guys from Bioshock mention it or Naughty Dog, oh, well, what a brilliant idea! It frustrates me greatly that small companies/games don't get any hype and die off when they do things better than what big companies do (and do them first), all because people don't go out of their way to check these kind of games/projects and just wait for whatever rehash or game mechanic big companies steal off of smaller ones and pretend they are innovating.

/rant.

As for what I'm playing, still Overlord 2 and Pikmin 3 shipped yesterday finally.

I really hope they make a DMC 2. I think the future looks bleak for a sequel since the Devil May Cry purist are up in arms about the reboot.

I'll tell you what if I was Monkey I would be super pissed at Kat right now. I would be even more pissed because there is nothing I could do about it. Poor Monkey. He's on a ride he doesn't want to be on.

I see what you are saying and I do agree with you. So far Trip is above and beyond Elizabeth since she is doing more then just handing Monkey ammo.

I love buddy-buddy adventures (I have no idea what to call them haha) where two strangers meet somehow, go on an adventure, and bond throughout it. No game I've played so far does it better than Enslaved. Not just story wise, but how Trip actually helps you rather than just stay in the background. Ellie wasn't much help throughout the Last of Us but I thought she was a brilliant character story wise so I didn't mind. Elizabeth, as a whole, was a shit character and I have no idea why that game got so much hype.

PS: Looking back, all my favorite games have that buddy-buddy scenario. Nathan/Elena, Joel/Ellie, Monkey/Trip etc. If anyone has good recommendations for that genre, if that's what you can even call it, I'd love to hear them.

Yea I highly doubt a sequel sadly. Sales were terrible and like you said, a lot of the die hard DmC fans hated the new Dante. Hopefully they keep releasing DLC at least.

Not just the gameplay but also the interaction between Monkey and Trip in the story. As the game moves along you'll see some pretty emotional scenes and a deep connection between the two by the end of the game.

I'm still kind of pissed that Pikmin 3 came out days ago but it just shipped last night for me. Pikmin is one of my favorite game series ever and I've been waiting for the next installment since the GameCube and a few of my buddies are playing it and telling me how good it is, blah. Lesson learned though, don't buy a new console bundled with a game unless you know for a fact that game is releasing on launch day with the console.

Playing the shit out of Borderlands 2 with a buddy of mine. Great fun as a group...and solo tbh.

Every once in a while Deadly Premonition pops into my brain and I want to go back and play it. I just know that once I played it for an hour or two I'd quit as I already beat it 3 times, blah.

Megaman X6 defeated on Xtreme mode thank **** that's over that was too annoying. Someone else try beat it on Xtreme mode and tell me if it is easy for you because it certainly wasn't for me.
