Very addicted to BF4 on PC. Great game. Especially now that I don't crash every 20 minutes.

Just finished demon's crest again this time recorded and it's not any easier the second time, capcom really were maniacal evil genius' back in the super nintendo days. Wily cpasule 7, the dark demon and phalanx's 3rd form were capcoms way at laughing at the player.

I also played The Elder Scrolls Online beta. I played for about 5-6 hours total (I only had it for 2 days and didn't want to get invested too much), but I can honestly say that as an Elder Scrolls fan and someone who has sworn off MMO games, I would not feel bad at all paying $15 a month to play that. Things I took away from the game:

1. First person combat feels a lot like the single player games (some tweaks in it though). Left click attacks with your weapon to attack, right click blocks, click both to interrupt someone. The stealth works exactly like it does in Skyrim (crouch for extra damage bonus), you block/counter with sword and shield, etc. Just in general it felt a lot like an Elder Scrolls game and I came away impressed.

2. The compass at the top is exactly like Skyrim's and makes finding quests/dungeons/locations far more adventurous than in any other MMO I've played. I never looked for NPCs to get a quest from, I just explored and found them just like I did in Skyrim.

3. Everything is voice acted, all the quests NPCs anyways, and the voice acting is hit or miss, but so is the voice acting in every TES game so that's not shocking. The voice acting is also not static or there just to be there, it very much feels like a single player game where voice acting is standard.

4. The lore/world is... amazing, to be quite honest. As a TES fan, I got all tingly when the deadra were mentioned, when the first quest is to escape a prison from Molag Bal, when people were talking about Tamriel and you had all the TES races running around. It felt like a TES game.

I don't want to get much more into it just cause I don't want an overly long post, but it's safe to say that after playing it for a few hours it really does feel like an online TES game with some tweaks that turn it into an MMO. I'll be buying this day one most likely, even with the monthly price tag.
It is just Skyrim with less flexibility in developing your character and a bunch of people you don't really interact with running around doing the same thing as you.

"It is just Skyrim" - that alone makes it worth buying. Although it's more than just Skyrim as it has many different regions. As for interacting with people, I joined a few parties and had fun talking about the game with them. It certainly can be played solo, but I had fun with groups.

As for what I'm playing, basically just Forza 5. I'm having a blast playing it, addicted to it to be quite honest. Some are complaining that you can buy cars with real money instead of earning them, but that was in previous Forza games as well, only this time it's much more expensive to buy the cars with money and it's much harder to earn top level cars. Basically - getting top level cars is more difficult than it has ever been. Luckily the gameplay is so great and addicting that I don't mind the grind at all.

I've basically stopped playing Killzone online. I got to level 5 on Resogun but I can't beat the final boss and although it's a fun game I just don't like it enough to push to beat it at the moment, later on I'm sure I'll give it another shot. I'm going to buy Ryse/Knack next month, both games look interesting to me.

Okay since this thread is called "...games..." and not "... video games..." I'm gonna confess I'm addicted to a certain pen and paper rpg named Vampires. I believe I have crossed the line between gamer and nerd.

I ran into a little bug in the game when I was trying to lift and move a box. After I dropped the box I ended up getting stuck in it and started turning in circles.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Yeah some of the physics are pretty messed up. Plays like an earlt PS2 game at times but the concept is interesting I enjoy puzzle games.

The thing is though it is going to be a lot more expensive than Skyrim. If it were buy to play instead of buy to rent I would probably get it. It is pretty clear that the mmo part was a complete after thought in development. Nothing but a gimmick so they can do a cash grab. If you aren't really into the lore and world of elder scrolls there is no reason to get it.

I'm not understanding what you mean. It's a full MMO. It has parties, dungeons, thousands of quests, factions, each faction has its own specific quests. It has bosses, races, mounts, sets of armor/weapons, big scale PvP, raids, friend lists, guilds (player guilds), etc. How is the MMO part an after thought?

I've been playing Forza 5 more than what is healthy for a human to be playing a video game...
