Downloaded this game called Phantom Breaker Battleground. Anyone else find it funny that the saviors of the world are always Japanese school girls that are trained in martial arts and like to dress up as maids?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Just finished my first fairly epic Assassins Creed 4 session. Spent the entire time doing side quests and searching for treasure. Reminded me of Major'as mask side quests. Very cool.

I have never been big on AC games but I got Black Flag for free when I got my new motherboard so I'll have to check it out sometime.

Is AC4 anything like the previous AC games, and is the story heavily tied to the previous games? I like the pirate theme/ship sailing idea but not convinced I'll like it if it's anything like the other games.

Its the start of a brand new arc. So if you do a little bit of reading you'll understand what you need as some things tie in and there are a few carry over characters. The controls are inherently the same but it is no where near as repetitive and the focus of the game is different than the previous ones. This one ia far more open as far as allowing you to choose how to complete tasks and missions. But honestly the story is good but I had to make an effort to actually do it as the side missions and tasks are incredibly addicting.

I actually never played any previous Ac games before. I liked the pirate theme for this one and it was a gift so I figured i'd giver it a whirl. Loving the side quests
. Game doesn't feel linear yet.

I saved and just got the top sword and the top pistols they really aren't that much. But upgrade your ship first. I fully upgraded all my harpooning and then used all the money from getting shark and whale to upgrade my ship then finally got the swords and pistols somewhere after I got about half way through with the ship.

I don't even have a ship yet. I've just been running around havana saving pirates. And I collected all the chests, opened all the vantage points, and did all the side assassin quests. got about 16k.

You haven't even reached the addicting part yet.
