I've been pleasantly surprised by Titanfall. Watched several different game play vids and commentaries last week and my expectations were crashing hard. I was concerned. Got my Beta key Sunday and was very happy with what I got. More fun then I was expecting to have really. Clean and responsive movement and engagement handling on both player modes, decent opportunity for a variety of solo and team play tactics, fun, but not OP, mini features with the customization and cards, decent audio and aesthetics (I really like the map Fracture). All in all, it's playing fun and looking good. I think this is the squeal CoD deserved a long time ago, not the crap that drove me away from that series over 5 years ago. Respawn took some of the better aspects of gun on gun gaming that were the stalwarts of their game changing title from 7 years ago and took it to another level with the vertical and Mecha game play aspects while also smartly utilizing the future as a canvas for their game, something that gives exponentially more freedom and opportunity to creative concepts and development.
Biggest gripe is the Grunt and Specter name tags. It's happened to me several times where I am faced with a one on 4 or 5 scenario and I am not able to distinguish between the grunts and the real threat (a pilot among a group of grunts) fast enough. I'd like to see them do something to make it more easy to distinguish between pilots and grunts. Also, the auto aim pistol, not a fan, it should be weaker then it is if you don't have to aim it (6-shot kill).
I like MMA less because of this forum
