If you decide to, I suggest you try to get it in a bundle with the expansion. It's pretty awesome and worth a few extra bucks in the long run.
Did you play the original Fallout games before Fallout 3 came out? Just curious to know what you thought about it if you did.

Anyone know how digital releases on PS3 work? South Park is up on PSN where you can add it to your cart, but not yet buy. Will it release on PSN midnight on the 4th (release date), so I can download it through the night and play it the next day? Or will PSN need to be updated the next day before I buy it?

I have it ordered on Amazon but I'm thinking about going digital for it, just not sure when it will be available to actually buy/download.

Yep. I played Fallout 1 and 2 around the times they released and of course I do have a lot of nostalgia for them too. However I have gone back and tried to replay them, and it is a little painful. GUI standards have progressed a lot. Being able to rotate the camera alone in most modern games of that type has really spoiled me.

I haven't replayed the first two XCOM games in a long time at least six or seven years, I beat them both several times and haven't really felt the need to replay them, maybe I'd feel the same way. But I did finally beat XCom Apoc for the first time just about two years ago (had to use DOSBox to run it) and I it was a ton of fun.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

Makes sense (camera/UI/etc).

I wish there were more options of the classic RPG style these days. I know there's a few running through Kickstarter but they take a long time to release.

Have you played Wasteland 2? I've been tempted to get it.

Holy shit, I actually forgot that's already in beta. I'm a Kickstarter backer at the $100 level, so I have a key for it on my rangercenter account. Loading it now I'll let you know how it is, if you don't get around to picking it up by then.

I also am a kickstarter backer for the Torment sequel which looks awesome. Have you checked it out? The first one was kind of average in terms of engine, same engine as baldur's gate, so similar interface and graphics level, but the writing, especially dialog, was insanely awesome for a video game.

Yep, that's the one.

Fallout was what's known as a spiritual successor, in that the Fallouts captivated the same ideas and intended to follow in Wastelands foodsteps, but they couldn't actually use the name. They did a great job, too. The original Wasteland was actually more like Bards Tale in terms of the mechanics and interface, but all the same style and atmosphere was present in Fallout, and even a few direct references were there- Desert Rangers as an organization, for example.

I'm waiting for now, but yeah I'd like some good insight as to how good it really is. let me know what you think of it, as I'm interested in picking it up just not ready to pull the trigger quite yet.

I haven't looked too much into it but I know if its existence (Torment). Honestly I haven't thought about it since it was announced a long time back. I'll have a look later tonight.

Skyim. I guess i FINALLY got the kick out of it you guy's had pre-launch time. I've tried to give it a shot so many times in the past but nothing really kept me there. Now it is. Rolling a sneaking assassin who's totally badass. Also a breton, noone could possibly suspect him being like that.
