Meh I didn't care for it. Felt like a limited version of Skyrim imo.

Iv been going mostly dex but I put a lil into str for weapons.

I think my problem is I like strategic games but put a sword in my hand and I wanna go in there swords blazing devil may cry style. But in this game you really do have to lure mobs 1 by 1 if u can. This is certainly not devil may cry or god of war, if you aren't patient and playing intelligently, you won't get far.

Also r u sure rolling gives you invincibility?? I could not find anything concrete about it on the internet. I literally only dodge attacks if I completely avoid the weapon. Not like number 1 where I could roll into the mob and avoid damage.

It doesn't give you invincibility, but you most certainly can roll through an enemy strike if you time it correctly. Never roll to the side as you just get in a better position to get hit that way. Either roll straight back or forward against their strike to try to go under it and behind them.

You don't need to go 1 vs 1 all the time, but on stronger enemies you really should. Not sure which area you were in, but if it's a tougher mob then you want 1 vs 1 always, even smaller ones 1 vs 1 is best but sometimes it is what it is and you have to deal with it.

I'm in the gulch right now, it reminds me a lot of Blighttown but not nearly as annoying. Finally found a Katana, upgraded it to +6 but now I need a titanite chunk to go +7, which I have no clue where to find.

You wrote part of your post in my quote.

There are some mobs i find rolling to the side works best. But usually i roll back. It also depends on my surroundings. Some big guys that swing straight down i like to roll to the side and thrust the sword into them.

Dude i just realized why i have been struggling so bad....

I have been playing as a hollow this whole time. LOL

I beat the Giant boss as a hollow and after i beat him i went in my inventory and noticed i have the item to unhollow myself. I could swear i used it in the past and it didnt work. I must have been mistaken obviously though.

Haha dang... the game is like much more fair now lol.

I want to beat myself over the head.

I kept wondering where all the summon signs are cause as a hollow you cant see them.

I feel kinda ashamed... kept thinking i just gotta get further and my normal form will unlock. So iv had half life this whole time.

SWTOR says hi. Watched some videos on ESO, not overly excited. It looked good but nothing spectacular.

That's funny. Although you rarely need human form in this game after you get the ring of binding. You know those big knights you tried to fight when you first started? If you follow that path up you will find a chest with the ring of binding, it reduces your hollow state to 75% instead of 50%. 75% life is enough to get through most areas/bosses (up to where I am anyways) without too much problem. Some people are making the mistake of using up all their human effigies to stay human form, and then are wondering why the game has so little effigies (they are fairly rare). The ring of binding fixes that issue for the most part.

I joined the bell tower covenant, fun stuff. There is a side area in the game where you have to climb a tower to ring a bell, and if you join the bell tower covenant you are summoned (so long as you have their ring on) into another person's game if they are trying to ring the bell. Your job is to kill anyone who tries to ring it. Pretty fun PvP action and you get a ttianite chunk for each kill.

Yeah like i swear i tried turning human before and it did not work so i thought maybe i had to get further in the game. But i guess i imagined the whole thing and i never tried?? Thats the only thing i can think off lol.

That does sound fun.

How often do you use the "summon" feature??

You have to be human to see it, you can't see summon signs when hollow. That's what I use my human effigies for. I let the ring of binding (75% health loss instead of 50% when dying) keep me up while going through the main game, but I use my effigies for summoning/pvp. As for how often I use it, I've used it a couple of times to help people. You can lay down a summon sign outside a boss area (so that they can summon you into their game), help them kill the boss and you get all the boss souls for doing it. It's good soul farming. I've only used a summon to help me in a fight once, and it was the NPC not a real person (you get an NPC to help you later on), it was against the trio sentinels. You'll understand when you get there. Think Ornstein and Smough from the first game but only add an additional boss to fight.

Also, maybe you tried to burn an effigy at the fire instead of use it from your inventory? If you burn it all it does is give you a smaller chance of being invaded by a player. To get your health back/summon/become human, you need to use it from your inventory.

I play that new South park game. It's pretty hard, for me anyway, even though it's a cartoon game and has GTA levels of content in it.
