Personally I find it weird when people expect something else... As I'm not sure a MMO can really do much else. I liked the questing in it but I guess I got what I expected.

I don't know how it is weird to expect what the game tells you to expect. I mean I play MMO's all of the time. I know what to generally expect but when it is hyped up to be something different and then you just get the same old thing, it is somewhat disappointing.

I was very disappointed as I love Star Wars and was really hoping it would do well.

Questing in SWTOR may be similar to the other games to a certain point but the whole experience has blown away other MMO's for me. DCUO used to be my main MMO, questing there felt like a chore, in this however, i can't get enough of them. Especially running them with someone else.

Well i never said it was weird but personally i didnt see them advertise anything that they didnt deliver on. I liked questing in swtor and thought it was better then i expected. I think you read too much into the word "Dynamic".

I don't think it destroys anything. It may be slightly more engaging, but certainly nothing spectacular.
The side quests (not main story related) were just iike any MMO, but the dialogue/conversations/moral system/story were all vastly superior to anything else I've experienced on any other MMO. The agent's storyline (the only class I played) for example had me hooked from start to finish. I genuinely wanted to see what happened, where it went, how it ended. It was like playing a single player RPG almost. Most of the quests in the storyline were unique and story specific for that class.

Played more Dark Souls 2. for the first time in 45 hours of play I had to summon someone to help me with a boss. The Looking Glass Knight is unbelievably difficult. He has extremely high armor making him take little damage, huge health bar, powerful and unpredictable attacks, he uses magic at long range and has a jump attack. Not only that, the guy summons a tough minion 2-3 times throughout the fight that you have to kill, which is very hard when the main boss is stalking you constantly. I could have done it eventually, but I just said forget it and summoned.

To each their own. The questing wasn't bad, I just don't think it was spectacular or anything. Once you get past the voice acting and a few other little things, the actual quests weren't really any different from any other MMO. I admitted that the story made it a bit more engaging, but after that SWTOR didn't have much to offer.

I guess I just think there is a reason why it fell flat on its face upon release. It has improved some things since then, but it just isn't great imo. But like I said, others like it and that is cool for them.

I love playing WoW, a lot of people hate on WoW. It's all good as long as you enjoy it.

Actually was thinking about starting the first one Thursday as I have the day off. Watched some streams of the second one. Looks pretty good.

Does Dark Souls 2 have a better co op system this time around? I remember the 1st one had co op but you couldn't just invite a friend and play. You had to put down a talisman or some shit and hope they saw it. Usually just ended up being a circlejerk for me.

I'll still get it either way. First one was amazing.

People who are in the same covenant are more likely to be joined together, as are people who are on friends lists (I believe). I haven't tried to join with a friend, but I haven't heard any complaints.

The only thing to be aware is that soul history is important now. The closer you are to a soul history of another, the better chance you will be of pairing up. Soul history being how many souls you have obtained, even if you didn't use them for leveling up but instead used them for buying gear/upgrades/what have you. So if you are wanting to co-op, your best best is to make sure you are on each others friends list, make sure you are in the same covenant, and make sure you have a fairly close soul history.
