Good, I didn't mind the naval stuff in AC3 but I preferred the more traditional AC land play much more. I probably didn't give AC3 the time it deserved, I just went through the main story line as quickly as I could so I could get to the next gen game/console. I didn't do any of the side missions or DLC.

What throws me off a bit is for the first time they are actually going back a little in time instead of progressing forward like all the others do. This is suppose to center around the grandfather of the character I just played in AC3? I don't like the idea of that.
You probably won't like the next AC game then. I think they said they are going to go back even further in time. It will probably take place in ancient Egypt of China.

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I know the title for the next game is "Unity". I'm sure I'll still enjoy it, just not the direction I hoped they would go in. But I have been playing since AC1 so until I actually play a AC game that disappoints me I'll keep on playing them.

In a way I do want to see a modern Assassin's Creed game for the sole purpose of tying up the Juno storyline. I think that's where AC 4 had it wrong. We spent the whole game assassinating Templars when we knew damn well they weren't the real threat. When are we going to go after Juno and her sleeper agents?

Played Catherine for a couple hours. I must really suck at puzzle's because I kept dying ALOT! Still, its a fun enough game.

So the first game from my unplayed Steam library is Alan Wake. I just completed the first part of it. Seems pretty interesting. I am not normally into any kind of horror or anything like that but this game is quite interesting. It gives you enough to have fun as you go, but leaves enough out to make you want to keep pressing forward to figure things out.

I'm a big Alan Wake fan, good stuff all around. That studios next game Quantum Break for Xbox One looks good as well.

Finally pulled the trigger on Bravely Default, it's downloading now.

That's the #1 reason I put PC gaming in the back and consoles in the front. I swear every other month SOMETHING goes wrong, and I've had many gaming rigs over the years. I've never, not once, had a gaming PC that didn't screw up on a fairly consistent basis, from video errors to blue screens to games simply not working for seemingly no reason whatsoever. I can't count the times I've fought for hours or even days to just get a damn game to run properly.

I still play PC games of course, but only exclusives that I can't play on consoles (I'm especially looking forward to Wasteland 2 and other games like it down the road), but everytime I buy one on the PC it's a risk, I roll the dice and just have to hope there aren't any issues when I boot it up.

I'm not having any issues as far as that goes.

The only problems I usually run into are on the developer side when it comes to gaming these days.

My issue now is my PC not wanting to shut down normally. Made some progress tonight. Still looking for a solid fix though.

EDIT: It appears I have finally caught the little bastard that was preventing my PC from shutting down properly. Still have to monitor it for a bit to make sure it is really fixed, but I got a clean shutdown this morning.

I think I'm going to break down and get the xbox one this weekend. I finished AC3 earlier in the week so now I can play Black Flag on the next/current gen. But, I'm not sure now if AC will be my 1st game. I'm thinking about picking up BF4.
