I can't really blame any company that has such a massively successful franchise like CoD or BF when they release something that would be dlc. They know it will sell you can't hate a company for making money.
I may change my position because I used to defend moves like hardline because hard drive space was a concern but now having to install every game and 500gb hard drive it's unacceptable.

I feel okay blaming them for releasing their next BF game when their previous game BF4 is full of game bugs, crashes, issues, rubberbanding, glitches and in general is a mess. Fix the last game you released before announcing your next game. EA wants that money so bad they don't even test their games anymore, they just throw it out there.
It's much easier to apologize with millions of extra cash in the bank than it is to spend money fixing the product before releasing it, it's plain out bad consumer business. But, that is why EA is voted the worst company in America twice in a row, so it is not a surprise.
