Tomb Raider >> Uncharted, IMO. Get it if you like those type of games. As for Batman, that's a great series as well. Asylum (first game) is great, City (second game) is good as well, but I hear Origins isn't as good as those two (it's made by a different development team which is why). With that said, the final one Arkham Knight looks freaking amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Basically yes, the batman games are solid.
Is it just me or has the Steam sales been... lackluster? I haven't really found any games that I haven't already bought or that haven't already been on sale 100 times before. No game has popped up and made me go "oh wow cool, glad I found this on sale!". It's 3 days in and I haven't bought a single game... highly unusual.
edit - also for those of you who want a game where choice actually changes the story, pick up Alpha Protocol. It's a solid RPG where your decisions (Mass Effect dialogue wheel style) literally change the story to a point where the final boss can be completely different, it has multiple different endings (not cheap multiple endings, but like they feel very different from each other), it's that in-depth. The gameplay is... well, I liked it. Many don't but I feel it is highly underrated. It's made by Obsidian, so in typical Obsidian fashion it's a great core RPG that is surrounded by little issues like some AI problems or a few bugs or what have you, but if you can get by them it's a fantastic game.
