Played the Destiny Beta. I thought it was good, but nothing special. It felt like a mix of Halo and Borderlands (but mostly Halo). I played part of it solo, part of it co-op with a friend, got a decent taste of it. The two main issues I have would be fixed if it was on PC:
#1, the FPS is really bad. It's supposed to be 30fps, but I feel every missing frame. 30fps is, well I wouldn't say unplayable, but it's far less enjoyable than it should be. Lower the graphics and give me higher FPS, an FPS at 30 frames is just not optimal and all it does is make me want a PC version.
#2. The field of view is AWFUL. The amount of screen space you have is just downright bad and actually damages my ability to play. I can't see the enemies right next to me, I have to turn all the way around to find someone. The guns need to be a bit smaller and the FOV needs to be turned up a lot. It also makes me a bit nauseous when everything is so enclosed.
The game is good but could be so much better if those two things were fixed, they make the actual gameplay far less than what it could be. I'll probably either get it when it's half off, or wait for a PC version that hopefully comes out eventually.
