I'm not going to say you're wrong, but I will say that I'm highly skeptical that a guy who plays "esports" CoD is going to wipe the floor with a guy who doesn't play "esports", but also dedicates a lot of time to the game.

The main point I'm making is, sniping or playing CoD in general doesn't require that much skill to play. Kids can play it and succeed at it in online play pretty easily, casual gamers who hardly play games enjoy it and compete in it, saying that anything in CoD *requires* skill is just wrong in my opinion, as that's exactly the opposite of why CoD sells so well - it's made for casual FPS fans who lack the skill required to play other types of FPS games (or other competitive games in general).

I am sure that the people who dedicate a great deal extra time to the game are better than people who don't though, that's a no brainier and I agree.

I suppose I always talk shit when I discuss Call of Duty. I view it as this tactical game where I'm constantly planning what my next move will be, but to be fair I ONLY play hardcore. I can't get through 1 minute out of hardcore. There is ZERO strategy, it's just people running around like maniacs, only thinking "I'm going to lie down or jump the second I see an enemy".

So I suppose I don't actually know what COD is really like. I absolutely HATE that I only get European lobbies. I got hooked up with this group of American guys last week. The main guy had like 7.75 ratio for the week, and this was Friday. He was like a 3.35 ratio over all, which was higher than mines. He was in my team, and I ended up beating him by like 10 kills. I only really played that good because I had the competition.

In Euro lobbies, I'm generally going to be top, at least 80% of the time anyways. It's rare that I get some competition, and when I do they always rage quit after they lose.

I was DYING for a clan on BO2 for HC CTF, but every online clan wanted to be "official".

I thought the co-op wasn't that good, but really enjoyed the game solo. It's too hard to follow quests in co-op in my opinion and made it less interesting.

Well everything requires skill, but the learning curve in CoD is quite small in comparison to other games.

Anyone here have KOF XIII on steam? It's part of the humble bundle right now (6 dollars for KOF XII and like 4 other games). If you do shoot me a steam invite so we can play.

My brother and I are playing with voice chat on so we actually end up discussing the quests as they happen. It is kinda a neat way to play an rpg. there's lot's of times already where we split up in town to talk to citizens and stuff. Sure we lose some dialogue but it really feels like co-op.

If the learning curve is so small in CoD, why do I keep getting saddled with these incompetent fuks for teammates?
