So, the Nintendo Switch. This is the takeaway (from a pretty big Nintendo fan)
1. The graphical fidelity is less than the PS4, that's obvious by the price and size of the console and the fact that the games will run via a PSvita sized screen. The footage shown does not look amazing, it looks good...but not amazing.
2. The games are interesting. Xenoblade 2? I'm interested. A new Fire Emblem for it? Sweet. The new Mario looks fun. Splatoon 2? Interesting. You know what the problem is? The ONLY game that the console is laucnhingh with that's even remotely interesting, is the new Zelda, and guess what? That launches at the same time on the Wii U. I already have a Wii U, as do most Nintendo fans.
3. $300 price tag. No thanks, not with basically zero games at launch.
I have basically zero interest in the console right now. the only game that's lanching with the system that's any good is Zelda, and I got a Wii U for that. The earliest I see myself buying this console is late this year, like October or something. A bit MEH from me, given how weak the hardware is and how weak the launch lineup is.
