Personally.. every MMA fighter should be able to throw high kicks. Even though Rampage doesnt throw them often i am sure that he is capable of it. They should just make them weak or something.. possibly slow. Like he takes 2 half steps before he throws the kick because he isnt used to it or something of the sorts.
Yeah I pointed out the obvious there. I agree what you say about every fighter having the ability to hit high kicks. Hopefully it is something they'll sort out before the release of the full game. Our natural reactions would be to hit high kicks at some point and the fact that the L1 button just doesn't do anything for Rampage kinda sucks.

Also rep+ for just mentioning Earthworm Jim. The N64 game and cartoon was awesome.

I think my problem with the striking is that the animation for the punches/kicks takes too long. It makes me feel like i am stuck of sorts. Hard to explain over text i guess.
But im trying the different characters and it definitely has made me more optimistic for the striking. The game feels/have more fluid/freedom when playing with someone else.

Haha thanks. Earthworm jim is awesome. The game for certainly ahead of its time. There are alot of downloadable games that are similar game styles but they end up not even comparing. I got mad respect for the Earthworm.

+Rep back if i can.

I totally understand dude, for example, at the recent Rio event, Edson Barboza hit that wheel kick quicker than people blink, yet on the game the kicks are a little slow and leave you way too open to counters such as straights, jabs and takedowns. Something else I hope they polish before the full release.

Also this might be just me or something but im playing as Wanderlei vs Rampage. I will bob my head out of the way of his punch and il try and counter but somehow Rampage gets off a second punch quicker then i get of my counter punch. I didnt have this problem when i was Rampage fighting Wanderlei. I get that Rampage has a boxing style so obviously he will be better at pure boxing but still... it seems a bit over board lol. Im assuming im the problem and im not quick enough on the trigger or something... even though playing as rampage i was

Wanderlei's stubby arms are annoying, Anderson VS Bones the apparent 9 inch reach disadvantage doesn't even feel like it exists.

Do you know if there is realistic leg damage in this game??? Like if you focus on damaging someones legs will his shot get weaker?? Will his punches lose power? ETC.?? I think that would be pretty cool if you can strategize to beat a wrestler by taking out the legs from underneath him. Aldo vs Faber style for example. It should affect alot of the actions since most everything you do you need your legs to put the power/speed in to it. Do you know if they did this or is it similar to UFC 09??? Also can we get a finish by a leg kick?? It should be rare but it should be possible since it has happened on more then one occasion.

I dunno... maybe im asking for too much. But i think being able to sprawl and leg kick a wrestler until his shot weakens a bunch would add a whole lot to the game. Cause then you can start letting lose and going for the finish. The idea seems so much fun in my head

So the striking feels and looks less robotic than in previous years?

there are leg kick TKOs man.. so yes, leg kicks are very important in slowing down a strong wrestler.

another sneaky new feature that i like is realistic combos, if you throw a jab or a left hook then a right kick, the kick will be more effective because you have a better pivot.
