I think that this is a better fight than the odds are going to show, because the matchup is both classic (as old as UFC 1) and has some nice new twists.

Filho is a great BJJ fighter, and Trigg is a great wrestler, but just like Trigg has submission ability, Filho has wrestling ability. Both are extremely athletic.

What's really going to be interesting is whether one of them desides they want to keep it standing and who decides to take it to the ground, if either of them do.

I think that, standing up, Trigg is a little more experienced than Filho, and his ability as a wrestler has always helped him when he wants to stand up with an opponent.

I think the biggest factor will be how well Filho fights off of his back. Trigg will probably end up on top and if Fliho can pull something basic like an armbar or a triangle, or something more exotic like an omo or gogo, I think he'll win. I don't know how good Filho's sweeps are, but if he shows something impressive, then that's another way he can beat Trigg.

Trigg's best bet is to stay on top, keep the pressure on and, most importantly, keep Filho from getting to his back, because we all know what happens then.

filho is gonna take this trigg isnt going to be able to stay up paulo will just use his judo skils to take him down and submit him i dont see trigg taking this paulo is also going to be training with gonzaga so his standup is sure to improve

This fight is not easy for Filho.

Remember that Filho is quite small, so fighting Trigg will not be that easy. Like mentionned, It's going to be interesting to see how Filho fights off his back.

I think Trigg will be beat Filho by decision.

Filho has great BJJ, but i think at some point, if you enough Sub defense, you can get away with it, and just lay and pray on top.

If the odds are right, i would bet on Trigg. Else, the fight is too close to bet on. It can go either way.

Filho wants to fight at LHW i've read and his father who is a dick just like him wants him to as well. I also want him to so Shogun can shut him up since he talks so much shit about Ninja.

We'll see, but Filho runs the risk of underestimating Trigg just because of the highly publicized RNC's Hughes pulled on him. I think if Trigg works his standup, his takedown defense should keep the fight where he dictates, and Filho will have no choice but to swing wildly after each sprawl he hits. I do however think if Filho can get the fight to the ground, he has Frank dominated no matter what position they're in.

Trigg was at UFC 77 outside in the smoking area yelling at like 5 guys around him and cussing at them telling them he'd kick their fuckin asses. The he just kept saying **** YOU! until they all walked away. Not sure if he is an asshole or if those guys asked for it. It was funny as hell though. I was like 25 feet away from them.

That being said, I have no idea who to pick in this fight.
