rufio honestly I understand if people don't believe the stories that I have been told it doesn't bug me. A guy at my gym who is a real stand up guy in all my experiences with him has told me these stories so I personally believe them but I wasn't a fan of Filho before this so I have always disliked him.

BTW there are numerous interviews where Filho comes off as a jerk.

I just looked this interview up and honestly it makes me dislike Filho much more.

He wishes injury on other fighters which is something I don't think anyone should ever do.

Well if you look at his only WEC fight, then yes he doesn't look great. I mean this guy is supposed to own anybody on the ground, yet he wasn't able to keep his opponent down, and i dont think you can blame it on the cage or whatever..

Basically, it depends on how you look at it.. Filho has yet to fight "real" top MWs. But, in the fights he's had, he's been a dominant force and could prove to be very dangerous.

As a potential MW contender, he is way up there. But as an actual MW contender, as of right now, he's pretty far.

As for those "rumors", i don't think it should matter.. i don't understand why hating a fighter as a person should change how you like him or not when he fights..This isn't reality TV where you vote off the ones you don't like, and where talent is not as needed as great personality.

I hate how Chuck Liddell fights, but i certainly don't hate him. I hate Tito Ortiz, but i certainly don't hate how he fights.

Anyways, as for being cocky, i haven't heard anybody dissing Anderson Silva for screwing around during a fight standing..

If you actually read the article above about Filho and Chute Boxe, he says" I wish some1 has an injury to GET IN the tournament". He doesn't actually wish to injur some1 or that some1 gets injured, he just wishes to enter in the tournament. Besides, that was right after the confrontation, he was pissed off.

Filho and Arona are muscle heads with a solid BJJ game. They could be destroyers but instead op most times to win on points. Look at how Arona can take people down and maintain position, guy is an animal.

I think I need to clear something up. I don't dislike Filho as a fighter due to the stories I have been told. In fact I disliked Filho as a fighter long before I knew almost anything about him. The guy is a boring fighter. That is why i dislike him first and for most as a fighter. Now things I have heard about him have made me dislike him as a person as well. But as a fighter I have always found him boring.

I will be the first one to admit he is a top 5 MW probably top 2 right now and would give Anderson Silva a hell of a run.

I just find the guy extremely boring and dull always have I honestly haven't mixed my dislike of his personality and my dislike of his fighting style. I think he is an amazing fighter but the guy is real boring.
