WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

WEC 2007 Shows Re-Showing on VS tonight!
Just wanted to give everybody here a heads up that the Versus Channel is reshowing all the WEC shows from 2007, its 8 hours of WEC fights starting at 5:00 PM EST. I am still debating which ones to DVR so I might just do fights here and there-if thats possible...I just got the DVR recently so trying to figure it out.

Shit man, there's a really fun Joy vs Crunkilton fight on one of the WEC shows. Rich Crunk executes a swank ass anaconda choke on dude. One of my favorite subs of 07. Man, I wish Crunk beat Razor Rob.

I really, really hope so. Hell, I'm confident that Varner will whomp Razor Rob. Rich Crunk vs Jamie Varner would freakin' rule, and I'd be diggity down to see that shit.

The strange thing is I have almost zero doubt he will win. I mean Varner is such a good wrestler and just so explosive in every aspect of his game I think he will handle Rob easily.
I honestly think Jamie Varner is just as good as Tyson Griffin.

Hmmmm, don't really know about that, but I definitely think he's head and shoulders above every LW in the WEC, including Razor Rob, who will lose. I'd love to see Varner back in the UFC, mixing it up with guys like Tyson, Tavares, and Edgar, but I'm digging him in the WEC, because we get to see a Varner title run coming up soon.
But yeah, bbjd7, Jamie Varner is the goods.
