WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

Chase Beebe vs. Miguel Torres
Miguel Torres has way more tools, has solid cardio, solid stand-up, and has a swank mullet.
Chase is a tough guy, who has solid wrestling, decent stand-up, and really solid cardio. He's been getting by pretty much on his tremendous heart and will to never stop going.
I really like watching both guys, but I think that Miguel will take Beebe's title, probably by sub in the 3rd. Beebe can put him on his back, but Miguel has really good jitz and works really well off his back. Standing, Miguel takes it easily. Beebe's going to have trouble standing with someone who is long and lean, not to mention someone who has solid thai skills.
So yeah, Miguel all the way. Unlike Rani, Miguel Torres won't fade in the second round. Miguel is also on my draft team, so yeah, he rules.
Miguel, make daddy proud.
Discuss.

Ill be rooting for Torres because he is the more exciting fighter but Beebe should win a UD here. He was on the ground with Yahya for 5 rounds and didnt get submitted. Torres isnt as good as Rani on the ground so I dont think he can finish Beebe unless he gets sloppy striking. Its possible but I look for Sherk/Franca type performance in this fight. Solid wrestler on top of a good submissions guy. Repeat for 5 rounds. I hope Im wrong, but thats what I see.

I see Beebe winning with a SD, he hung in there with Rani and took over the fight for the title with whats his face. I expect more of the same with Chase, little guy big game

Got to go with Chase here. He went the distance with Yahya with out geting sub'd. Thats pretty impressive.

True, but Rani pretty much only prepared for about 1 and a half rounds. He was already spent after the first, and was pretty much just surviving till the end. Miguel's a totally different breed, a guy who can stand and trade and a guy who's really good off his back. Beebe could win, sure, because Chase Beebe is a solid fighter, but I don't think he'll pull this one off. If there's one guy who can beat Chase Beebe, it's Miguel Torres.

I think either guy could win since they are both solid fighters. However I think I'm picking Chase since the guy is solid and he has an outstanding gas tank. And at the lower weight classes it often seems like the guy who can keep up the fastest pace w/o gassing wins.
