WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

Honestly Damone, I have never seen the dude fight. Im not saying all Japanese fighters are cans. Im just saying alot of them get too much respect in the rankings.

Even guys who nuts I hang from have benefited from fighting some of these cans that I speak of. Shogun and Fedor have both put serious whoopins on guys that had no business beig in the ring with them. Which has added to their mystique a little bit. Because it always make you think a fighter is a unstoppable when he blows through someone. Even if its a tomato can.

Thing the with Japanese fighters that hurts them is this. Japanese FW's really should be BW's. And Japanese LW's sould really be FW's. I dont know if its has to do with their culture or what, but they dont like to cut weight. Norht American fighters, cut huges amounts of weight and thats why alot of them have overpowered their asian counterparts. It has zero to do with their skill level, because they are just as talented. It all comes down to size and stregnth. And when your cutting alot of weight and someone else isnt, your usually gonna be the bigger stronger fighter come fight day.

I get what you're saying, jdun11.

Cro Cop, especially, looked great when killing a guy who didn't belong anywhere near him.

Anyone know what Maeda's weight was when he fought Pearson & Krazy Horse in Pride? Was it 145?

You make a point. The Japanese fighters that come here are at a disadvantage physically because of weight-cutting, which sucks because it sort of forces you to cut weight or deal with the extra weight and strength of your opponent. Garcia was huge compared to Takaya.

Dan Jitsu has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I was there folks, 15 feet from the cage when my friend Leonard knocked Takaya out, Leonard is the real deal. He spars with Joey Villasenor, Rahsad Evans, Nate Marquardt. He is amazing, he WILL give Faber a run for his money. If you haven't seen my show "Inside Team Jacksons" featuring Leonard Garcia, you can go watch it at the link below. Some people from this forum got to ask Leonard questions. This is an nice forum.
