BJ is a lot bigger than Faber so I would expect that.
BJ's ground game is sick. I'm sure Faber learned trick or two. lol

Urijah training with BJ makes him a very well prepared fighter.

And yes, those were some of the gayest pictures of very technical BJJ that I have ever seen.

And BJ now has a new submission to try out on people. He should purposefully have the nastiest feet in MMA and do it all the time, just to see people tap not to have it in their face. Black rotting toenail and all!

Faber needs work off his back especially after his last fight. Even though he won he showed significant weakness off his back. Faber needs this, especially if he's planning on fighting Kid

Yes, well, he is a wrestler, so he's obviously not gonna be that good on his back. I'm sure training with Penn taught him alot when it comes to his ground game.

I'm dying to see Faber vs. Pulver though. Goddamnit!!

I actually like Pulver in this fight.

He's a solid wrestler, plus his stand-up is better than Faber's. Faber's already been dropped, and Pulver is really solid at 145. Also, Pulver's sub skills are underrated.

i think id just laugh my ass off if pulver came out and ended it like he did with cub. i dont think that will happen, but i could totally see jens pulling out an upset over faber.

cmon, what do we know about this sport if we dont know that you cant count anyone out? ask serra and Lauzon...

Hell, Frank Mir may be visiting Paulo Filho if Pulver beats Faber.

I agree that Pulver has the edge in this fight, but unlike alot of people, I don't think that it comes from his wrestling ability. I still think that Faber is going to be the better wrestler in this fight.

The part that I think is really going to hurt Faber is that he's not as athletic as Jens is. People are going to say that he's explosive, but that's not what I mean. I definitely think that Faber is the most explosive fighter in the WEC at 145 pounds (though certainly not in the world, as KID would wreck him). I think that Jens is too versatile an athlete, too quick and too smooth for Faber to catch him.

I know that Pulver has not been as dominant with his standup as he once was, but I still think that it's important to respect Jens as the illusive monster that he is.

What I think is important to recognize is that when Faber looks for that takedown, he's going to be fighting an opponent who knows that he's looking for that takedown. While people will say that is true for all of his opponents, this is the first time Faber has had an opponent who counterpunches at the level that Jens does.

Jens is going to be working with some of the best wrestlers around for this fight, just working on his sprawl and brawl, but most importantly, he's going to be working on that counter cross that I promise you are going to see as soon as Faber tries to close the distance. I think that's going to be the punch that ends this fight.

I also think that people forget how hard Jens hits. While Faber is explosive and aggressive and powerful, I think that it's often overlooked that Jens hits really f*cking hard for a 145 pound fighter. While Faber is a tough guy, so are alot of the guys that Jens has knocked out, and Jens really doesn't need one punch to know Faber out, he just needs that punch to shake him up and disturb his confidence because that, at the end of the day, is where I think Jens is going to win this fight.

Faber's only loss was to an opponent that he just couldn't over power (Tyson Griffin) and at the end of the day, I think that that's the fighter Jens is. Again, not because he's going to outwrestle Faber, though Griffin did that. It's because Jens is going to shake him up and wait for Faber to start to question his confidence, and if that happens, he's going to get exploited, and this fight is going to be over very quickly.

I think Jens has the experience, confidence, and also the skill to beat Urijah Faber. I can definitely see it happening, but I also see Faber stepping up and really impressing me.. so idk.
