WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

Sorry to hear about your brother man. A lot of good kids meeting a poor fate over there. I think people forget how young some of our soldiers over there are. I hope your family finds peace.

Doug Marshall looked like he knew he was screwed even at the staredown. Stann frickin' dwarfed him.

As for the fight itself, I wasn't too impressed. Stann looks like a huge LHW with solid hands. Too bad we don't know how skilled he really is because the toughest competition he's faced is Doug Marshall.

LOL @ Stann throwing up his arms after dropping Marshall. DIS IS HOW WE ROLL ON DA STREETS, BOI!

Hoo-rah CPO! By the way I agree with you Navy SEALs are the baddest moo foos on the planet! I wish I would of knew about Cpt. Stann when I was down in NC at Camp Lejeunes serving as a Navy Corpsman! Could of helped my stand up game a bit more lol.

It was awesome to see him win the belt! Stann is purely about the sport and it is nice to see a guy who goes out there and gives 110% for his country and for MMA! He's not about money, fame, or any B.S!

The scary thing is he isn't even close to his potential as a fighter and has a very bright future ahead! Also it was nice to see Marshalls punk ass dropped! I worry though about Stann's ground game versus a very good BJJ/Submission grappling opponent???

I just saw the fight and the end was great as well as the whole fight but that was a VERY nice KO by Stann.

You are absolutely correct. The United States Marine Corps defines the phrase "military bearing". They always have. They always will.

For your brother: Lcpl Clark....this retired Navy Chief Petty Officer salutes you and salutes your service. Semper Fi Marine. You are "forever on patrol" and we are safer for your service. May you rest in the eternal peace that YOU provided for US.

I’ve heard several arguments for the Air force Para rescue Jumpers or Para jumpers.

As for the Rangers and Delta being the Army “Special Forces” that’s not entirely correct.
The Army Rangers are often included in joint special operations but the actual Special Forces are separate organization (Greed Berets) and organized at the Battalion level.
Delta is a separate small unit (much like the Seals) they’re under JSOC command and are arguably the top notch unit in the military (having former Seals, SF and Ranger members) similar to the British SAS.

But again I digress, it’s all subjective.
As much as I hate to say it...you are correct that it is subjective (and on the breakdown of the Army SPECWAR units...I had forgotten about the Berets).

What?? Did I just say that?? Subjective? Of course it's NOT!! The Seals win, everytime, hands down, no contest, the other team wouldn't even have the balls to show up. Air Farce Para Rescue Jumpers? Who would be there to save them after they HAHO'd from 30,000 ft into a shark infested ocean and were faced with a 2-3 mile swim in an adverse sea-state and freezing cold water onto a hostile shore? Puh-leeze.

The British SAS would give the Seals a run for their money, but then would lose when they had to take a break for tea.

Same sort of mindset applies to Naval Aviators as compared to ANY other military pilots worldwide. They all are great pilots but only Naval Aviators (which of course includes Marines) have the cods to land an aircraft on a bobbing postage stamp (ie...carrier flight deck) during a pitch black night in the middle of an ocean with no nice safe divert field to head to when things go FUBAR.

Yes, I am of course partial to my service. But to cut through my incessant BS...I am PROUD TO THE CORE of ALL of the men and women in the US Armed forces (and those of our allies) that are doing their jobs day in and day out around the globe. They fight the fights and make the sacrifices w/out asking for much more than to be supported by their counterparts (that's US) back home.

SALUTE TO ALL OF YOU!! I may not agree w/half of what this government does but I will ALWAYS support our men and women in uniform!

Isn't that a first where Marshall couldn't even look at his opponent? He looked so scared and nervous.

I think it's funny that all of Stann's fights have end in the 1st round with a TKO or KO.

When he threw up his hands, he threw them up as if he thought he won because it looked like Marshall was knocked out cold. Also, Herb Dean ran in like he was going to stop it, then didn't stop it so Stann came in for the finish. He didn't throw his hands up becuase he knocked him down, but because he thought he won.

Yeah I noticed that Marshall looked concerned from the get go like Rocky IV when Apollo Creed got killed by the Russian lol! Yeah I've never seen a stare down where a guy won't even look at the other guy. Thank god we didn't have Ive Lavigne as the ref because it would of been stopped way before Dean did IMO!
