WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

Wagnney did make the Candaian Olympic wrestling team. Also Wagnney also faced Curran earlier in his career and lost a pretty crap decision.

Well I don't know much about the Canadian wrestling team but they must be pretty good if they've elevated GSP to the level that he is at. I've just never been impressed with the speed and explosion of Wagnney's shot. MMA wrestling is different than freestyle wrestling in the Olympics.

That's very true but when you look at Faber's wrestling it has more to do with him just rushing in and overwhelming his opponents than just pure wrestling.
Wagnney doesn't set up his shots well a lot of the time. But his hands are close to Fabers they might be a little worse or a little better but it's not much in either direction and on the ground Wagnney is defiantly the better of the two.

I dont think Wagnney made the Canadian Olympic wrestling team, I think's thats IFL spewing bullshit.
Wagnney did in fact get screwed against "gift decision" Jeff Curran. lots of good fighters could not finish Jeff who Faber isn't better, such as Kid, Menjivar, Serra. Faber had a bogus DQ W over Menjivar, and while Wagnney has never fought Menjivar, he has however trained and taught him.

I think Uriah's wrestling is extremely overrated. he was outwrestled by Curran for much of that fight, and though he beat Curran, it certainly wasn't by wrestling. Wagnney has outwrestled everyone he has ever fought including Curran and that was hands down. guys like Tommy Lee and Sunshine have come from American wrestling backgrounds and Wagnney wiped his ass with them, and same goes for everyone in the IFL, many bigger at 155. Faber was also unable to outwrestle Menjivar and Chance Farrar. Waggney is as good or better a wrestler than all of those guys. Wagnney would outwrestle Faber 9 times out of 10, in particular early on in the fight, and thats all Wagnney may need to put him to sleep.

Ya that's kind of true but it works.lol. I think his wrestling is getting a little sloppy since his national qualifying days at UC Davis but I just still think he's the better wrestler but we aren't going to change our minds so I guess this fight just has to happen for our sakes.

Very true I think it would be a very intersting fight because Wagnney is crazy underrated and IMO Faber is slightly overrated.

I think Faber would take this. Faber is pretty overrated by the comman viewer, but I think that results in him being kinda underrated by the more extreme fans. I think Faber would be able to control him and eventually get a TKO.
