That's a pretty stacked card for the WEC. I'm really looking forward to this one. Lets see what big names we got: Faber, Pulver, Torres, Curran, McCullough, BeBe, Crunkilton, Cerrone, Valencia, and Cruz. It's like a WEC fan's wet dream. Only people missing are Hicks, Miller, Filho, Varner and Stann and then I wouldn't have anything else to look forward too for the rest of the year.

Have they slated Marcus' title shot yet?

That IS a good card for the WEC. That will be one to watch for sure.

I am patiently awaiting Hicks title shot as well. That guy has grown on me.

Hick's agent told me it is tentatively set for August 5th.
I can't wait for that fight card.

He has grown on us too Foose. He's one of the most dedicated guys, I respect that a lot. The guy is all business. I can't wait for August. If I get to go to the fight i'll post some sick pics when I get back.

First hand pics would be awesome! Yeah Hicks looked so much more confident in his stand up that last fight. He looked really strong as well. I don't remember his striking being that good before that. He has always had that sick guillotine(sp)! It looks like he is trying to rip someones head off when he sinks it in . . . lol. Those short stocky arms must feel like a death grip when he sinks it in!

Yeah his guillotine must be death. He is real strong for his size. His stand up is good but his ground game is sooo good he just uses that to finish fights. Thanks Foose. I have told Marcus about his fanbase here and he really appreciates it. He is a man of few words but he loves his fans.

I train under a couple of Marcus' training partners from Mohler's, he's got nothing but good things to say about him (as a person and a fighter). I've been told his thumb choke guillotine variation is nasty as hell, he's got a great ground game, and he hit like a tank (they didn't have to tell me that one... paul came in with a broken jaw).

Anyway, I've been looking forward to Marcus & Jamie fighting for a while. Even though I'd root for Jamie against anyone else, gotta pull for Marcus cuz he's the hometown hero.

Thanks for the info rufio.e0. I wish you luck with your training I didn't know you were a fighter. It's such a small world behind the scenes of mma. It seems like everyone knows everyone some how some way. Very cool man keep training hard. Thanks for pulling for the hometown hero man. I can't wait for August.

Oh I'm not a fighter (yet), but I do train with them. I dunno if I'll ever fight or not, but I like the concept of it and I love to compete. So who knows.
