WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

I like Jacare more because he can take people down. Maia just pulls guard. That won't work all the time.

They signed 5 fight deals according to sherdog which seems to me that they will be in the WEC until about 2010.
There opponents are confirmed in the article and I think they are all interesting match ups.
Can't wait for all three of these guys to have their debut in big time MMA.

As far as I know, All American is some kind of award given to college athletes. I don't really pay attention to college sports, so I don't know.

It is an award in college sports. For wrestling they take I believe the top 5 from each weight class and award them all american honors

When looking at wrestling credentials I would put it this way.
Conference Champion - Good
All American - Pretty Good
Multple time All American - Outstanding
National Champion - Excellent
Mulitple time National Champion - Amazing
3 time National Chamion - Never been a guy in MMA who has done that before.
That's why I'm so hyped up about Rosholt because guys who are known as dominant wrestlers in the UFC with great wrestling backgrounds are jokes compared to Rosholt.
BTW thanks for the find WAWA I knew I read something about it.
