WEC World Extreme Cagefighting is an American mixed martial arts promotion. It is the sister promotion to the UFC, both owned and produced by ZUFFA, with a focus on lighter weight classes and talent building for the UFC. As with its older and much larger sibling, the WEC uses the same rules as the UFC, but it holds its fights in a smaller octagonal cage.

Is Hicks vs. Varner going to be a can't miss fight?
Im not going to brake down my +/- but I think Hicks has great potential as a fighter. Still that said Im not sure he's the next Big ticket fighter but I am sure Jamie Varner will give him a real test and IMO should win this fight, any thoughts.....

I like both of these guys a lot but unfortantly I think Varner will be too much for Hicks.
He is IMO more well rounded since I think he is better everywhere. However Hicks has a ton of power and a sick gulliotine so he could defiantly win this.

Of course, given the disclaimer that "this is MMA and anything can happen"...the following applies (IMO):
Hicks is certainly a tough customer and has the ability to knock out Varner. Has everyone forgotten already how they were saying the same thing about Varners chance against Rob? Anyway...should be a good fight but I see Jamie knocking Hicks out sometime in the the second round.

This is going to be a war, and my money's on Hicks (he's also on my staff fantasy fight team).

I think this should be the main event over Condit/Miura. I am picking Varner in this fight.

I hope I don't have to work the night of this show.
Hicks vs Varner is going to rule, and my dawg-Jamie-is going to win.

This choice is easy for me and the rest of our staff.
War Marcus Hicks. ToeZup has his back literally and his leg. Hahaha

I am just wondeirng how? Varner out struck a striker in Razor Rob and is one helluva of a wrestler, his Hicks better in either dept? I bet on Hicks given the odds but feel Hicks will win. As for OP, I think it could be a great match and probably will steal the show.

I think I'm taking Hicks too.
Partly for ToeZup.
Partly cause I think he's going to win a UD. In a very hardworking win.
