Good news for UK fans, it looks like the WEC is edging closer to a TV deal over here.

According to Marshall Zelaznik, the UFC's UK President, they are looking to secure TV coverage and then put on UK & Ireland events (sounds like Ireland might be first).

Great to hear. it's a bit frustrating in the UK at the moment to only have UFC events shown on a regularly basis. I wonder which TV station will pick up the rights? I'd imagine Bravo / Virgin 1 would be interested.

Very good news. In the UK we are missing out on some fantastic fights with the smaller guys unless. It would be great to have the WEC on TV, even if it was tape delayed.

Hoping they just add it to the ESPN package, I like being able to see the shows in HD, which you don't get with Virgin 1 or Bravo. Be nice to have UFC and WEC on the same channel. It's about time we got the WEC here!
