Sylvia would get KTFO'd . . . . . it would be lights out for that polio legged bastard in a heart beat if ever stepped in with Aleksander, because i firmly believe Aleksander's striking is far more supirior's to any other heavyweight around the world. . . .other then the man who knocked him out. . . Cro Cop, and maybe Arlovski. . . . but God how i would love to see Sylvia get KTFO'd by Aleksander. . . .

Yeah, Aleks would take him out. Tim would loose his reach advantage and Aleks is a really good boxer with very fast hands. I would say Aleks by ko in round 2.

This would be a great match for both fighters. Sylvia proved he can handle a ***** specialist in the AA fights. Though i do not like Sylvia in any form, he is a winner. He fights boring and only is good at striking. But Aleksander can take some good shots and I think should win by decision. But we all know the UFC judges would give the decision to the title holder.

It would be a stand up boxing match since both are one heck of strikers. But Emelianenko would end up pounding him to the ground. Even Aleksander could beat Tim. Imagine what Fedor could do to Tim.

aleks would ko sylvia in the first round hes 6'6 and has long as arms, so sylvia wouldnt have the big reach advantage...aleks striking is friggin sick i think if he faught crocop again he could take him, that kick he got rocked wit would have knocked out an elephant, i mean it happens people get knocked out...but this kid is the real deal hes only like 24-25..by the time hes fedors age he might rule the mma world(that is if fedor retires of course)..he sjust gotta improve his ground game a lil bit and get sum better submission defense and he'll be nasty, what am i saying he already is...sorry to all you sylvia fans, ALL FIVE OF YOU  ..but this wouldnt be too good of a fight, emeilanenko's striking is just better than tim's

You're right AA lost to him, but you have to remember he hurt his legs pretty ****ing badly. . . . like something tore. Which is why he stopped using those leg kicks. . . . But sylvia would get KO'd by Aleksander.

If either fighters stand against TS' punches, they get decked. Flat out. Forget about chin, forget about height... TS can swing. He isn't the most coordinated mother in the ring but he takes big men out.

I agree

I have to agree Aleksander striking is superior to Tim Sylvia's he is more than capable of knocking Tim smooth out like he did Ricardo Morais. My reasons to support this theory are Aleksander is 6'6 he is more agile on his feet he, has the faster hands, he possesses KO power and he throws combinations. If he used these things alone he would definitely out class Tim in a fight. Aleksander just seems the more naturally gifted fighter between the two especially with his height and size

Aleksander against Tim.. ill have to go with Tim on that one, Aleksander can throw but he is not a good boxer. like Josh Barnett said ``just coz you come out trading punches and happen to come out on top doesnt necessrily make you a good standup fighter´´ i think thats kinda true with Aleksander. Tims reach could mess him up bad. (Aleksander could land and finish it to, not counting him out)

I don't know why you keep talking about Tim's "Massive" reach advantage. Tim's 6'8''. Aleks is 6'6''. Not that big of a difference really especially when both are well versed in striking. They know how to adjust to the reach advantage especially Aleksander. If you watch his exchanges you see he knows exactly where to stand to just barely be able to tag his opponent really hard but not too close to where he would get tagged himself. He's a very smart fighter and gets to train with Fedor everyday since they were kids so c'mon that right there is a huge advantage. Tim's not the greatest IMO and definately would not stand a chance against Aleksander Emelianenko. MMA Freak I can't believe I'm seeing you say Tim could beat Aleksander. You seemed so smart and well versed in your MMA knowledge:dunno: haha I'm just messin around your opinions cool too.

It'll never happen. The UFC would never sanction this fight, and they wouldn't allow Silvia to go fight him in PrideFC.

Why? Because Silvia would lose.

Why would he lose? Because Aleksander is one of the best strikers in the world of MMA. In my opinion, his striking is either a little worse or a little better than Cro Cop's. His ground game might suck, but it has to be better than Silvia's.

Well wouldluv2fightu, I picked Tim because Aleksander reaches in terribly to punch out guys if you saw him against James Thompson and Ricardo Morais. And plus Crocop completely gave Aleksander a beating and I think Sylvia is a bad matchup for Crocop if they faught. Sylvia would beat Crocop and Aleksander in my opinion. I think the only two heavyweights who have a chance against Sylvia are Fedor and Antonio Rodrigo. He is under rated but unfair in fights by using his reach such as when you reach in he strikes back and kills you. I also think Tim can beat Josh Barnett and Mark Hunt definitely.
IF YOU ACTUALLY SAW THE CRO COP FIGHT, ALEKS WAS ACTUALLY DOIN WELL WITH CROCOP UNTIL HE GOT CAUGHT WITH THAT HIGH KICK THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN DOWN A RHINO...ALEKS KO'S BIG GOONS LIKE TIM FOR LUNCH..THIS FIGHT WOULD MAKE ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT FOR THE EMELIANENKO BROTHERS

WHAAAT????? Does anybody else agree with this statement?? Mark Hunt, maybe just because he is shorter, but Josh Barnett???? How could Tim beat Josh Barnett. Barnett would simply take it to the ground and win. If they faught 10 times, Barnett would win 9 I guarantee it. He might try and trade with him for a little while like he did to Aleksander at Total Elimination Absolute this past May, but then easily get the win by taking it to the ground. Tim has absolutely no ground game and Barnett is one of the best in the world on the ground. I wanna know if anyone else thinks Sylvia could beat Barnett!

P.S.
I'm not trying to pick on you MMA Freak, I just disagree with some of the opinions you have in this particular thread, as you disagree with mine. Just trying to understand why you think this way is all.

I've explained why you just haven't been paying attention. Tim Sylvia clearly can beat Mark Hunt. It would be another Cabbage .vs. Tim Sylvia at UFC 39. And I've asked this question before and everyone thought Tim would win definiitely. Mark Hunt is sure something better than Wesley Correira but he is way smaller than Tim Sylvia. He would try reaching in and Tim would strike him out. Plus he leaves his head open its terrible and Tim would use that too. But Mark Hunt is a K-1 champion and a great stand up fighter but Tim would own him do to reach and Hunt leaves his head open.

Against Josh Barnett Tim Sylvia would outstrike him for sure. Maybe I was contradicting and over rating Sylvia. I think this fight actually would end this same as Frank Mir and Sylvia did. Barnett will bring Sylvia to the ground with him on his back and Barnett will get Sylvia in either an armbar, keylock, kimura, or even triangle choke. Sylvia has been submitted a couple of times on the ground. I think Barnett will use that as a factor. Therefore I contradicted Tim Sylvia and myself. I think Barnett can win now due to the facts.

But against Aleksander Tim would win. Aleksander not only keeps his head open for punches and kicks against it but he reaches in to use his striking skills. If he does this against Tim Sylvia of coarse Sylvia will begin to destroy him. I think this will be a version of Andrei Arlovski .vs. Tim Sylvia 3, Aleksander tries to reach in like Andrei but Sylvia strikes back at him terribly like a coward (which is what he usually does). It would end in a decision with a boring match. Aleksander and Arlovski are very similar fighters except Arlovski does more leg kicks and Aleksander is a way better striker than Arlovski. And Arlovski is more well versed in submissions.
That's fine, I wasn't arguing the part about Mark Hunt, that is feezable. It was the Barnett thing I couldn't get past, I just wanted you to elaborate a little bit after saying something like that haha.
