It was fairly funny, but it does make you want to see him try it with a great striker and get laid out for 5mins!

I had the same thing with Prince Nassem Hamhed when he used to box, he used to do funny shit like wobble his knees when hit, or hit himself in the face cos his opponents were too slow to, but half of you did want to see him get KTFO!

I can see how you can enjoy the first two rounds. But how can you enjoy rounds 4 and 5, in which he did little to nothing?

Honestly? He really didn't do anything but circle around. What is enjoyable about that?

I really liked the first 2 rounds and thought it was amazing how Silva outclassed Maia and broke his nose/eye-socket. The way he talked trash and toyed with him was fun to watch IMO and was similar to the antics of Ali and RJJ. I could understand why people would dislike it because it was disrespectful but in all honesty it's hard to take respect in high regard in a sport where your job is to try and knock somebody unconscious.
I will say, however, that the last 3 rounds were annoying and uncalled for. It's one thing to talk trash and mess around while backing it up and still doing damage, but its another thing to just run away and refuse to fight anymore.
Also, im personally more angered at Maia for not putting up a better fight. People get mad at Silva for not fighting in the last 3 rounds but how come people arent flaming Maia for not fighting when Silva put his hands down? He literally put his hands on his waist at one point and stood straight up waiting to be hit, and Maia REFUSED TO FIGHT. Maia has no right to complain, he refused to fight even more than Anderson did and i am glad that Silva absolutely embarassed Maia after he came out and said he would "take the belt home with him".

That fight was foolish. How what was there to like about the last two and a half rounds? And get mad at Maia for literally sprinting at him and trying to just grab him and pull him down and yell at Silva to actually fight him and try everything he can do to fight a superior fighter? And you think down on Maia because he said he would take the belt home before the fight? Ok. That is something I want to hear now. I want to hear Carwin and any new contenders for any belt say "Oh yeah I am planning on showing up but I really am thinking about losing. You know just kinda go in there and stick my chin out so the guy can send me to the hospital."
Maia was never going to win that fight and never going to hurt Silva. Only in a friek accident would that happen. I am impressed that he actually tried as hard as he dd to even get Silva to do anything in the last rounds.
Does anyone know what was going through Silva's mind to just not fight the last two rounds?

How can you call yourself a Silva fan, if you don't support everything he does? :confused02: I can watch the guy kick a baby across the room before the fight, and I'd still be cheering him on.

And btw. From now on, i would also like to see Rashad doing his "monkey-walk" in the middle of the fights, after winning the first round or so. That would be fun to watch. Let his opponent catch him:sarcastic12:
And when Chuck fights again, if he is winning the fight i would like to see him dancing with Herb Dean, doing some ballet or whatever:sarcastic12:
Ooo, or maybe BJ should have done some "hula-dancing" in his fight with Diego. Afterall, he won the first rounds. So why not?:sarcastic12:

Maybe i'm being to dramatic about this, but let's remember. If every fighter would decide it is time to fool arround in the middle of the fight, how would you feel??

I'd feel great about it because no one else is Anderson Silva and they would get dropped and it would be ******* funny. You know, kind of like Rashad/Machida. The crowd was cheering when he was doing that stuff too there is some revisionist history going on. People got upset in the fourth and fifth when he shut everything down. People lose their shit when they see him doing some crazy footwork/headmovement and land precision strikes out of it.
