Aleksander is big enough to throw down with Tim Sylvia and he's way more aggressive on his feet than anyone Tim has every fought before. I'd give this one to Aleksander Emelianenko.

Aleks is almost as big as Tim..and his boxing skills are better and he practices *****, so im sure if this went to the ground which it wouldnt Aleks would have the advantage there too...but i think Aleks would ko tim in round 1..Tim would land some shots but these two would just be throwin bombs and sum1 would get ktfo...90% Sylvia gets ko'd

Man there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that he's right about that. And Arlovski vs. Aleksander would be the shit! :thumbsup: All the true MMA fans know that Aleks or Nog or Barnett or even Kharitonov would all be champs easily in the UFC.

I'm surprised not one UFC fan has voted for No. I think it would be cool to have Alexander Emelianenko as UFC Champion and Fedor Emelianenko as Pride Champion.

I think the voting is so lopsided because the question was could he be champ not would he be champ. Im sure some people would have voted no if it said would he be champ.

Tim Sylvia could beat Aleksander in my opinion due to his cheap reach advantage he would use against Aleksander but besides Tim, Aleksander can beat any other UFC heavyweight.

Even though I think that any number of the top Pride HW's could beat Sylvia I also think he matches up well with most of them due to that reach advantage. Could Nog really get Sylvia to the mat without Syvia's fist becoming a permanent part of his face? That would hard to imagine although it could happen. Could Barnett stand a throw leather with him? That would be risky for Barnett although if Barnett could get past Sylvia's sprawl and get him to the mat he would definitely beat him. Could CroCop kick him in the legs until he wants to die? Yes!! Could Fedor crowd his punches on the inside and eventually get him to the mat and either G&P him or submit him? Absolutely!! Alexander could punch with Sylvia but that fight could go either way.
