I was wondering what martial art works the best on the mental and emotional aspects of the art. I am talking about instilling virtues like motivation and perserverance, as well as training to be assertive without being agressive. I want to work on the physical aspect as well, so I won't be doing tai chi.

I did Karate when I was a kid, got ejected from the Dojo because I kicked my sensai in the groin, but I am willing to return to martial arts. I need to develop virtues while workig on my body, which one is the best in that area?
