We all know pride has produce some of the greatest mma fighters in the last 10 years. But which great pride fighter would you say never reached the level of success in the ufc they had in pride?

For me its hard to decided but it is between wandy or cro Cop.

Crocop is the one. Was still a legit contender when he arrived. Didnt look convincing in his first fight with Eddie Sanchez then got 'Crocop'd' by Gonzaga.

Against Kongo, he was unlucky because his testicles took a beating and im sure it threw him off his gameplan.

Beat Al Turk, although not convincingly. A dodgy eye poke if I recall.

Was a bit more competitive with Junior Dos Santos, without ever really getting any offense in.

Stops a last minute journeyman recently.

Not a great resume for one of the greatest of all time. I just want to see one head kick KO in the UFC. I still believe.

I personally think he has way more chance of becoming champion at HW than LHW. No way in hell he ever gets through Lyoto or Shogun even in his prime IMO.


And Crocop has looked good lately. IMO he's looked good since Kongo.

i agree. JDS can make any striker look bad. CC just isn't a top tier HW in the UFC.

When you look back at Pride videos CroCop always had an intense look about him. I don't think we've seen that in the UFC

Cro cop has definitely lost the fire. He hasn't been that bad as of late (esp vs Dos Santos) he displayed that he's a careful tactician and neutralized a lot of his striking prowess.

I actually think he'd do better at LH. Cro cop was a beast in his prime, taking out top level K1 strikers. He would be very competitive against the top in that division. His ground game would be the major issue IMO.

For a PRIDE star I think Cro Cop is the biggest let down, but for PRIDE fighter in general I was really disappointed with Dennis Kang. I didn't expect him to hold the UFC MW title, but he had some amazing fights in PRIDE and showed nothing of that in the UFC.
