Great news IMO. I think his standup is improving and couldn't have been easy to fight through all his personal troubles.

Dan Miller (11-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) is not done with the UFC.

The middleweight's future was in doubt following a unanimous-decision loss to Michael Bisping at UFC 114 – Miller's third-consecutive setback – which capped a year of struggles inside and outside the cage.

However, a source close to the fighter today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that the New Jersey native will get one more chance to get his career back on track.

Miller, a former titleholder in the now-defunct International Fight League and for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, told MMAjunkie.com prior to UFC 114 that a loss to Bisping would likely signal the end of his UFC run.

The promotion does not yet have a timeline for Miller's next fight, said the source, and the fighter is currently at home spending time with his family.

Miller was snapped up by the UFC shortly after the IFL folded and made his octagon debut in September 2008 with a submission victory over Rob Kimmons at UFC Fight Night 15. His brother, Jim Miller, made his UFC debut one month later.

Dan Miller quickly established himself as a division threat with back-to-back victories over Matt Horwich and Jake Rosholt. But just as he reached the upper tier of the division, his personal life was upended by health issues within his family, including the loss of his daughter in May 2009 and illness of his newborn son.

Miller was adamant not to make any excuses for his performances of the last year and said he was focused for the Bisping fight.

"I'm not trying to take these emotions in with me," Miller said prior to the fight. "I want to go in and have a really good fight (and) fight the way I used to fight."

A jiu-jitsu black belt, Miller surprised many fans when he stood with Bisping for the majority of the UFC 114 fight. Though his punches connected with the British fighter on several occasions, he was on the losing end of most exchanges and was physically battered by the end of the three-round affair.

Miller, 28, trains out of the AMA Fight Club in Whippany, N.J.

Good, Dan's a good guy and has yet to be in a boring fight. Is there some rumor of him dropping to 170? I saw another post suggesting a WW fight.

Very good news.
Miller is a tough guy. he has a lot to offer. Had a tough fight with maia, survived on the ground against Maia, wich is AMAZING imo.
Plus, he has some perosnal problems before fighting Bisping and i think that affected him a bit.

Great news. I wouldn't want a guy who has gotten so much shit poured on him recently to get fired too on top of it. He should drop down to 170 though, because if he can't do anything to bisping and gets killed standing by Maia it is clear he isn't atleast in the right weight class.

Nothing against the guy personally, but as a fighter he needs to go. Such a boring fighter. And not in the GSP dominate through wrestling type boring, more like the so painfully mediocre but good enough defensively to make all of his fights(with contenders at least) decisive UD losses boring.
