Clearly Dana White sees the writing on the wall and there will be no more Legends vs. Currents and therefore no Ortize vs. Shamrock III . There is no doubt that the new era to be ushered in will be Pride vs. UFC. I realize that for anyone to fight in the UFC they will have to be under UFC contract, even if it's for one fight, but it will still be considered Pride vs. UFC by the masses. Buckle your seatbelt 'cuz we're going for a ride for the next year or two on this one

It seems like a good idea, but if Dana does go through with that then there is a possibility that those pride guys could come in and run the house in the UFC with probly wouldnt be good for the UFC as a whole.

Of course, it would be good for the UFC. They are about making money, and that would only result in higher profit gains for them. They have a contract on every fighter that enters the octagon. Therefore, they do not have to share profits. Anything that makes money for them is good, because clearly that is what they are all about.

that is what any buisness is about making money. wether your buisness is fighting or selling hotdogs on a street corner you wantto make money. As for Pride vs UFC. It will benifit both groups as I have said in other posts. by getting cross exposure for both groups. AS for fighters coming to one side or the other and cleaning house.. well that can't hurt either If a pride fighter comes to UFC and gets his clocked cleaned other pride fighters are gonna want to come to be the one to beat the UFC guys.. if the UFC guy gets beat others are gonna step up to want to beat the pride guy. WHo benifits mostly the fans as you will get to see the competition levels brought to new levels. fighters taking opponets more seriously.. I just want to see Fedor come to UFC..

I think it will benefit both companies. For UFC it will prove to the world that it's fighters can hang with other fighters from around the world. For Pride it will prove that it has the best fighters and that it can sell out the event without being in Japan. And no one in the UFC can beat Fedor.

It's what every business is about but not solely - after all Pride want a piece of the USA market - UFC hardly want to come off looking second best now do they?
