I can appreciate Ed Soares defending his fighter but c'mon man. The world is expected to believe that a fighter landing punches and kicks at will for 2.5 rounds all of a sudden couldn't find the distance? against a guy that has terrible striking? Really?

At least come up with a better excuse, something along the lines of Anderson was out of shape or didn't have a good training camp, was injured, had a staph infection etc. Anything would be more plausible.

It was a simple case of silva screwed up....its not like he was fighting a great striker and had to be wary of a KO.

Yeah I don't buy that one. I did just read an article on the UFC website where the guy says he thinks the reason Silva did nothing for the last rounds is because he doesn't think Silva is at all comfortable being the aggressor. That and because Maia cracked him with a few good lefts that really seemed to suprise Anderson. But even in the first couple of rounds Silva only threw some jabs and a few kicks to bust Maia up but didn't really attack in an aggressive fashion. He just more so danced around but never actually let loose. If he would have this could have been ended in the first.

Sure, I believe him, and Arianny joined my wife & I for a 3-some last night.
Anderson summed it up best himself, "I don't know what got into me, this will never happen again". For those that don't speak Porteguese, he basically said. "I was a douche bag, Demian pissed me off before the fight and I wanted to embarass him in front of the world". I've got to believe that's what happened, that and he's starting to believe all the hype that's thrown his way, deserved or not depending on your opinion of him as a fighter.I would imagine that with his next opponent he'll be all over him like a fat kid on a doughnet. Aerius you are such a lucky F----r, did you take any pics?

Anderson always finds himself apologizing at the end of his fights, "it will never happen again" ... yeah it probably will. And Maia was shite too, didnt even go for it.
