after seeing a few conversation about maia moving down i thought about some other fighters who should move weight

i agree with maia going to WW because i would love to see him vs big dog almeida and hazellet

nate diaz stay at WW to vs diego

diego vs florian at catchweight 160 i say florian wins

after bj murders edger i would like to see him move to WEC as edger vs faber would be sweet as well as sherk to move there.

i think thiago silva would be great at MW aswell as rashad evans

BJ back at WW daley,kos,fitch,thiago,alves,hardy

post who you think would be great at another class

I think Akiyama should drop down a weight class in all honesty, I don't think his frame is big enough despite the eeking over Belcher. But hey, I respect the dude fully and would love it if he proves me wrong :)

I know my opinion isn't very popular around here, but I'd like to see everyone fighting at their natural walking around weight and eliminate dehydration as a fighting technique. If it had always been that way we wouldn't even know who tito ortis is. Anderson would be an exiting but not dominant heavy weight, gsp would be middleweight champ and Dan Henderson would be known as the greatest lhw of all time.

I've met a few fighters. I walk around at 185 and every welterweight I ever met was bigger than me except bj when he was ww champ. I saw Dan Henderson and anthony johnson together and AJ looked 2 weight classes bigger than Dan.

To answer your question in todays reality, I'd love to see big country start working his way down and taking names on his way to a ww title fight.

Nelson at welterweight? he'd be a shredded and dehydrated torso without limbs to get to 170. I know he's got a gut but hes also a thick dude.

Crocop down to LHW.
Pat Barry to LHW.
Anderson to LHW.
GSP to MW.
Matt Serra to LW.
BJ to WW.

Not convinced about Rashad at MW, hes pretty solid and can hang with the top LHW's.. If he can easily make the cut though he'd be an instant contender.

These are all on a whim. The arguments against these picks are likely stronger. The guys moving up would have to dedicate an amount of time to put on size, not just the way Nate Diaz just did it.

Forrest Griffin - HW - No real reason other than he has a massive frame to work with. He always complains about having "no ko power", well do something about it.

Jon Jones - HW - In a few years.

Cheick Kongo - LHW - Come on big fella, you have no future with those wrestlers at HW.

Michael Bisping - LHW

Kendall Grove - LHW - vs Vera :)

Rashad Evans - MW

Anthony Johnson - MW

Ben Saunders - MW

Rousimar Palhares - WW

Yoshihiro Akiyama - WW

Matt Serra - LW - You don't have to cut a lot of weight man. Just diet for a little while... it really isn't as bad as you make it seem. You are all muscle!! But, until you lose again at WW I guess it's cool.

I totally agree with Serra to lw. He was great at light weight. Gave BJ the toughest lw fight he's had other than pulver. when he started his "jungle jiu-jitsu' as goldy called it was the most dynamic in the ufc.

Silva-LHW-after he defeats Maia and tools Belfort
Hardy-MW/LHW-he likes to strike? Go to the striker's paradise
Evan-MW-I don't seem him ever, EVER holding LHW again. If Silva moves up, he's got a shot.
GSP-MW-WW GSP is too dominant, he needs more of a challenge. Theoretically a skilled MW could sprawl against him, or nullify his ground and make him work his striking again
BJ Penn-WW-Assuming GSP jumped up, I'd like to see him clear out that division too.

BJ - stay at LW
Aldo - up to LW (for Aldo v Penn)
Serra - down to LW (for Serra v Penn)

Maia - down to WW; would at least force GSP to use stand up.

Sotiropoulos - up to WW if he can pack on muscle mass in doing so; love his combo of boxing and slick ground game. Although, he still has plenty of time for exciting fights at LW...

Akiyama really has to go down because he looked really small for 185 IMO

Rashad could definitely make 185 and Id like to see him there for a couple fights. He can continue to have good success at LHW but after ha gets KOed by Rampage he should check out MW.

Yoshihiro Yoshida (sp?) fighting anthony johnson at WW was ridiculous. Poor little guy needs to move down to LW.

Serra should have been on a better diet from the beginning because he is too short for WW and is huge at LW. Well he's not too short, he'd just have more success at LW.

Swick only fought at LHW because thats where they had an opening for the show (as far as I know). He would have fought at MW if he could have Im sure. I tend to agree that he looks too weak at 170, but there was a reason he came down (Okami) and I dont think he'd do much better back at MW

Is Rumble still trying to fight at WW? MOVE UP. reason... if you continually miss or have trouble making weight, you might be in the wrong weight class.

i think fedor should go to LHW but after he kicks some UFC's HW butts which will probably never happen but ok.. :)

i still think LHW is by far the toughest division not just in UFC but in all mma world, so if fedor went to LHW it would really be a big test for him but thinking about it, his disadvantage in size that he has at HW right now would vanish completly in LHW...actually, he might even gain advantage over those that normally walk around 205-220 lb plus he'd be in better physical condition, starting with losing belly fat..only thing i'm not sure about is, would he lose too much strenght by cutting down to LHW or would he still kick a$$ as he's doing right now?

other then that, i'd also agree with anderson silva moving up to LHW (that would make LHW even more ahead of every other division..)

GSP to MW but not yet, i'd still like to see GSP vs BJ again even though GSP said he wont fight BJ again but i don't know, i feel like BJ wasn't 100% in their last fight..infact i don't think he was even 50% watching some of UFC blogs on youtube lol.. (don't hate on that, it's just my opinion heh..)

BJ to WW obviously..i was sure noone can get near BJ in LW but after that beating if i can even call that beating (looked more like destroying..) that he gave to sanchez made my thoughts clear about him moving to WW..

crocop to LHW ... i think this guy should be a LHW since the very beginning...i mean, he's 220 lb and i don't think he even cuts weight to be there but i don't know, maybe he just wanna bang with the big guys..

minotauro to LHW ... not completly sure about that one cause i still think he could've beat mir and velasquez aswell if he took the fight to the ground...he just aint the best stand up fighter...i mean, he's been training boxing for years but i don't know, i don't consider him being anywhere near top stand up fighters in mma so i'm not sure why he made the same mistake twice by banging with those 2 even though it was obvious after the first few seconds of both fights that they're beating the hell out of him @ standing..

kimbo LHW...well, if he went from 265 to 215 he should just get down to 205 cus making catchweight bouts just for him is lame..but i'd still prefer to watch him fight in HW if he didn't cut weight so much but even he was probably thinking the same as i am right now "those wrestlers in 265 will just run over me.." lol

roy nelson should really consider losing weight and i would put him in any division just not HW cus once he gets a "serious" oponent (not underestimating anyone!) he'd figure out he's too fat (no disrespect!) ...

jon jones definetly HW with his size but i don't know, he's doing pretty well in LHW which is actually very tough division..

keith jardine MW...i don't think i have to explain why right?

mousasi HW .. no big reason, just that i read somewhere he wanted to move up to HW and i'd like to see how he'd do there...he is a small dude, probably too small for guys like lesnar etc but i'd still like to see him fighting there..

now some people i'd like to see in UFC :D

fedor ... nuff said

mousasi

hendo

shields

pudzianowski ... i really wanna see this guy fighting
lesnar, I REALLY DO! xD

aoki...some people are saying he's the only guy who can kick BJ's a$$ so i'd like to see that.. xD

overeem ... would be a great add to HW division

there might be some more changes in weight divisions that i'd light to see but i can't think of more right now so that's pretty much it...oh and sorry bout the "people i'd like to see in UFC" thing, i just thought i might add that cus it's somehow related to the topic, i think.. :)

CC has said he'd have to cut off a leg to move down in weight, I believe.

Aoki v BJ would be phenomenal.

Also I don't see Nelson going down a weight class anytime soon; he's getting so much attention for his gut.
