i think hughes still has an advantage over GSP, although, GSP has the best chance on beating the champ...

i'd still bet my money on hughes.. UFC 63 should be interesting to watch!

He will beat Matt Hughes when he gets his rematch at UFC 63. He's the best fighter to come out of Canada and was also inexperienced last time him and Hughes faught. This time he is ready and experienced. Matt Hughes couldn't get by Penn but St. Pierre easily did. Go rush!

I beg to differ on GSP being inexperienced the last time he fought Hughes. Here is a list of his fights pre-Hughes, there are some impressive names on this list.
6/19/2004 Jay Hieron UFC 48-Payback Win
1/31/2004 Karo Parisyan UFC 46- Supernatural Win
11/29/2003 Pete Spratt TKO 14- Road Warriors Win
1/25/2003 Thomas Denny UCC 12- Adrenaline Win
10/11/2002 Travis Galbraith UCC 11 – The Next level Win
6/15/2002 Justin Bruckman UCC 10 Battle for the Belts Win
1/25/2002 Ivan Menjivar UCC 7- Bad Boyz Win
GSP lost decisively the last time he fought Hughes and no one should make excuses for him. All this aside I think he has a good chance of winning this fight. Definitely the biggest twst for Hughes yet.

I'd take the odds on GSP via kick to the head, but I won't be terribly surprised if Hughes gets a takedown and submits or TKOs GSP. It's going to be an interesting fight.

I personally wouldnt bet in this fight because I think they are both at such an amazing level that it could go either way. The only reason that GSP lost last time was because he made a mistake which he "doesnt usually make" (his own words). I cannot wait until their next fight because it is bound to be one of the best in the near future. (that and franklin silva)

GSP vs Jason "Mayhem" Miller is a fight that needs to get more love. GSP outclassed Miller, but to his credit, Miller hung in there(With a smile on his face for most of the time). Man, what an utter shitkicking displayed by St. Pierre. That fight made me appreciate both guys a lot more. It was much better than Hughes vs Trigg 2.

Georges St. Pierre is awesome, and one of my favourites.. He dominated Frank Trigg so easily, dominated Sean Sherk, and dominated Jay Hieron. His Canadian fights (in UCC and TKO) are amazing he pratically destroyed and made his opponents look so horrible. Can't wait until UFC 65 I can definitely see him taking the UFC Welterweight Title off Matt Hughes.

Great moment in the GSP vs Mayhem Miller fight: Miller tries to get cute by doing a kip up, and Pierre simply kicks him in the face.

Georges will be the next welterweight champ ... I think he is becoming too fast and confident for Hughes. St. Pierre is just as strong as Matt, has a better standup and just an explosive ability in him that Hughes will not be able to handle the second time. I predict a St. Pierre victory by decision

I think GSP is gonna rock hughes. I dont remember wher but i remember an interview where he said that he went into that fight knowing he was going to loose. I believe this because he has had a very impressive wins before Hughes. I mean look at them

10/22/2004 Matt Hughes UFC 50-The War of ‘04 Loss
6/19/2004 Jay Hieron UFC 48-Payback Win
1/31/2004 Karo Parisyan UFC 46- Supernatural Win
11/29/2003 Pete Spratt TKO 14- .Road Warriors Win
1/25/2003 Thomas Denny UCC 12- Adrenaline Win
10/11/2002 Travis Galbraith UCC 11 – The Next level Win
6/15/2002 Justin Bruckman UCC 10 Battle for the Belts Win
1/25/2002 Ivan Menjivar UCC 7- Bad Boyz Win

And i know for a fact GSP is the best welterweight and i really hope he proves it by becoming the champ

The only thing that sucked is how long hes had to wait for a title shot they kept postponing it or making him fight other people, so now he will get his chance he deserves.

It will be a great fight!

This fight between Matt Hughes and George St.Pierre is going to be a war! I believe we will get our money's worth! You guy's know who I believe will win. I have alot of respect for GSP but I believe he is the future, and this is the present. Mr. Hughes is not going away anytime soon! I think alot of people are going to be surprised at Matt's strategy. He is always improving his skills. The only thing he has lacked is a strong stand-up game. His last fight vs B.J. Penn showed that his stand-up is improving, Penn got the better of him on there feet, but then again Penn is probably the best stand-up fighter in the welter-weight class. I thought Matt held his own in that one and I know since that fight, Matt has been working dilegently on his kick-boxing skills. When he put's his mind to something=lookout!!
