George St Pierre still has a few possible opponents in the welterweight division including the winner between Koscheck vs Daley as well as Paulo Thiago if he defeats Martin Kampmann. GSP has discussed a move up to the middleweight division in the future.

The UFC hasn't mentioned any potential match-ups for the welterweight champ but there is a very interesting fight against Chael Sonnen.

For one GSP wouldn't fight at Middle Weight and even if Cheal went down weight (Which he wouldn't) GSP's style is the absolute worst for someone like Cheal.....

U see Nate and GSP grapple? There at different levels....

And i dont see Chael being able to stop any of his take downs... Not saying he couldn't get back up, because i agree Chael has some awesome wrestling... But not so great in the BJJ apartment...

But anyway, i see GSP's style of wrestling being way to effective, and Chael doesn't really have heavy hands and i see GSP out striking him...

Chael has great wrestling but to say that Chael would but GSP on his back like he did to Nate, is stretching the imagination a bit....

And i was joking about the whole Shouldn't be Discussed thing, because Chael is a ten times more interesting fight then Hardy LOL

Sonnen is being hyped up way too much. If he gets a shot a Silva, he's getting knocked out in the 1st. He suffered a flash knock out from Marquardt, that was thrown while Nate was on his back. GSP would beat him up standing, or on the ground.

I see Chael only training his TDD against GSP, and if he actually is successful in stopping him which i dont see happening, then GSP WILL smash him in the stand up...

I think we would see some Wrestling too, but mainly GSP's gameplan would be to keep the fight standing, cause he is miles ahead in that department.

GSP will win, I really dont see anything that Sonnen has that could be a problem for GSP. Sure, he might be one of the best wrestlers in MMA(not better then GSP), but GSP is also a lot faster and I would take GSP in a striking match anyday.

I could totally see this too. Chael has always had weak sub-defense. Even all the way back to the WEC days, he would have to work it constantly to not get subbed.

at 185 Chael is going to be going in to the cage at maybe 205? GSP is going to have time to bulk up even more for a fight like that. He will easily be able to get up to 200. There will hardly be a size disadvantage at all. GSP will have the advantage is striking, reach, speed, jitz, transitions and my bet in wrestling as well. Sonnen is over-rated!

Chael Sonnen has never been KO'd in his career, nor has he ever been TKO'd(legitimately.) I doubt GSP would be the first one to do it. I doubt GSP would ever even rock him. GSP would definitely win stand up but by no extend would he finish him or 'Fitch' him. I personally think Chael would control the fight with superior size and wrestling but GSP would have a very good chance at a submission. In a 3 round fight, I see Sonnen winning.
