Matt Hughes did lose quite a few times back then, he was about 4-2 during the 1998-1999 era. But after UFC 30 he became more better and powerful and started winning a lot. I didn't expect that to happen either when I first saw that match back in 2000 I believe. I ordered that PPV. It wasn't that good since after 1998 UFC started to suck but after 2002 became more popular and better.
