I agree that Fedor should be fighting for the title, but Werdum vs Fedor is an underrated match-up. Fedor has never fought someone with a ground game like Fab Doom. Not even Big Nog. Also, Werdum can take punishment.

I wanted to see those 2 fight also. To me its a very interesting matchup. Lol someone on another Fedor thread said Fedor could sub Werdum easily if he wanted to. Allrighty

Didn't say he was Big Nog. Also, watch his fight with Silva. Silva was beating his ass in that first round, and Werdum rallied.

Sergei also hit him with a thunderous punch, which dropped him and blew up his eye. He still kept fighting.

As you mentioned, the Nogueira fight.

Overeem was hitting him with thunderous shots.

Gonzaga was beating him in that first round of their second fight.

I'd like to see Overeem-Fedor too but I've long wanted to see Werdum-Fedor as well. It's not as big a mismatch as some might think as Werdum is excellent on the ground and his stand-up is constantly improving. It may not be main stream sexy but I really can't wait to see this fight. People need to look past the flabby Flab-Doom vs. Dos Santos when he was pissed over being shut out of the UFC HW title tourney and taking on an unknown fighter and see what he really has as a fighter.

He actually has a shot in this fight IMO.

I'd clearly favor Fedor in this fight but I've always wanted to see Fab-Doom against Fedor once it hits the ground if it gets there. Fedor could KO him but I'd really like to see them match up on the ground to see who would prevail and I'd get Werdum a decent shot there. Might not go there but that is what I want to see and what could happen from there.

Unfortunately he was unable to take JDS uppercut.

It's all relative. When I'm talking about punishment, I mean the kind of punishment Big Nog took in many of his fights, yet he always came back to win the fight. (Of course, not anymore)

Werdum would not handle Fedor's ground-and-pound the way Big Nog did.
