After tonight's fights, who do you want to see the main fighters go against next? Here's what I think:

GSP vs. Jon Fitch. Hard to deny Fitch is the 2nd best WW in the UFC (and MMA in general).

Dan Hardy vs. Winner of Matt Hughes/Renzo Gracie (if either would be up for another fight).

Frank Mir vs. Cain Velasquez (So Velasquez wouldn't have to wait for another 6 months minimum to fight Lesnar. I think that Velasquez has got this one wrapped up if it were to happen).

I think Dan should take on someone like Paulo Thiago next.

GSP vs Fitch makes sense, though I wouldn't be hugely excited for that one. I'd rather see GSP move up to Middleweight personally.

Mir vs JDS makes more sense for mine, as it appears Velasquez is being held back for the next title shot.

I still want fitch v alves before one of them fights gsp again. Fitch looks great but he doesnt look like he would do any better in a rematch. I still think the guy with the best chance is alves, and he just got dominated last summer. Thats how far ahead of everyone else gsp's wrestling is.
Maybe give kos another shot if alves and fitch cant fight right away. Kos did as good against gsp as anyone else has so far.

Edit: Id like to see Hardy v Thiago. I like thiago in that one, and I think he could finish Hardy.
If Daley wins then he might as well get the next shot, but I dont see him beating kos.
Any striker that wants the WW title shot should have to go through fitch or koscheck first.

I fully support Mir vs JDS. Any excuse to watch JDS KO someone.

I'd love to see Thiago vs. Hardy, and was definitely going to put that down, but I checked and apparently he has a fight set up for June, so it wuld be unrealistic to think that Hardy should wait for a fight until ~September at the earliest. Though, if somehow that June fight (I think vs. Kampmann) were cancelled, that would be the ideal match up.

If GSP can't finish Dan Hardy, how exactly do you think Paulo Thiago finishes the fight? Dan took a crisp jab on the chin from GSP, and barely blinked, I don't think Paulo Thiago would knock him out, and certainly wouldn't sub him on the ground. Thiago could win the fight, but it'd be via decision, I don't see anyone bar Alves or Daley finishing Dan Hardy.

No, I meant Paulo. GSP did try to finish Hardy a couple times, but for the most part he was just following his gameplan of grinding Hardy out. Paulo has a sick ground game and can choke out just about anyone at WW besides the beast wrestlers IMO. And I think Paulo can definitely stand with hardy, his hands are deadly too, and have knocked out guys better than rory markham.

> Well it'll be GSP v Fitch.
> I don't think they'll give Paulo Thiago a fight with Hardy, perhaps one more and then. But I say Hardy v winner of Daley/Kos.
> Mir v Nog
> JDS v Kongo (not from 111 though >.<)

Don't get me wrong, I rate Thiago highly, but I don't see him finishing Hardy if GSP couldn't. Thiago's got heavy hands, but so do Marcus Davis and Mike Swick, and they couldn't finish, or hurt Dan Hardy, the dude has a great chin. He also defended GSP on his back a couple of times too, so I'm sure he could defend Thiago trying to choke him in a 3 round fight.

One recognised fact: no fight resembles another. The fact that GSP didn't finnish the fight, doesn't mean Thiago won't.
A fight is a fight. One punch and it's all over. One loose arm and you're getting submitted. My best example for this case is: Maia subs Sonnen, Marquardt KO's Maia. Easy to say Marquardt would have beaten Sonnen. Dead wrong.

On topic:
I think Thiago vs Hardy would be a good match-up. They have something in common: a win vs Swick. Hardy would feel more comfortable against Thiago. Has better striking, but would have to avoid his jiu-jitsu. If Thiago isn't possible i think a fight against Rumble Johnson would be sweeeet: both strikers, no love for the ground game. Should make for an interesting fight.

GSP has 2 choices: fight Fitch or wait for the winner of Kos/Daley. I think he could get Fitch by july.
Mir will go against Cain imo. And he will lose.
Pellegrino-Sotiropoulus annywone??!

As for the others...have no clue

Yeah, I agree its damn hardy to hurt Hardy, Im not sure Ive even seen him hurt (besides those submission attempts which surely hurt). Its just that paulo thiago is always close to a submission whenever he's on the ground, he just seems so dangerous there to anyone besides guys like fitch, alves, kos, and gsp. I didnt realize paulo already has a fight set, but I really liked the idea of hardy vs paulo thiago. I want to see more of both fighters.
The UFC is gonna have to start making silver belts or something for everyone else in the LW, WW and MW divisions because there is some great talent in those divisions but no one who can touch bj, gsp or Anderson Silva.

good call^^ on the Pellegrino vs sorte...sortri.....Goerge S. George has way more potential in the division IMO so Id be pulling for him.

If its Fitch that gets the next shot we'll get to see some standup from gsp at least

matt brown vs ben davis - this fight has fireworks written all over it.

palhares vs maia - let's see who the best grappler at mw really is

mir vs nogueira II - both on a loss against the top of the division and the winner would be right back into contention.
